Don't think that I haven't noticed your red magnet lately Bill. BBS is achievable with the SS. Had one this morning. Perhaps it's the blade. Personna Lab Blues are popular, but I was less than impressed with them.

Thanks Andrew! Just got the Blackbird back from Shane. The polished finish is much better.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, i have one more shave on that blade, then i move on to my Gillette adjustable black handle for 6 shaves. I have a GSB blade in it that one. I`m trying it for the 1st time. Thanks for the advice. Yeah, that little red thing is always around, it seems.

    Prep:
    Hot shower, Nivea Face wash
    Brush: Jayaruh #33 horsehair
    Lather: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss soap
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Personna Red Israeli (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel pad, Pinaud Clubman AS splash

    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

I grabbed the Ginger's Garden Oakmoss this morning partially to test my apparent mild sensitivity to the Jasmine Oakmoss soap (with clay and mango butter) from our @soapbuddy. I knew I had used it without issue in the past - and that my favorite cologne contains oakmoss - but thought, perhaps, my skin's sensitivities were changing with age. While I didn't get as much lather as I might have otherwise, the Oakmoss performed fine, without any sensitivity issues. As the same general formula causes me no issues, I'm forced to conclude there's some odd combined ingredient interaction at work. The Red Israeli is considerably smoother than either the Croma or the Schick DE, to my sensibilities, though I managed a weeper when I went past where the lather was on my neck and had a couple of hot-spots when the alum hit my face. All in all, a DFS result, neither great nor poor.
