After much thought and deliberation.....and now testing with shave-offs.......
    GUILTY AS CHARGED!!!!!

The final results at this stage of the testing.....seems to point in the direction.....that yes I am in fact H bonkers crazy!
The 'H' does deliver my finest BBS's with the least amount of effort than any razor I own....Hmmm
    I repeat:

The PAL Inject-0-matic can match it...but with considerable buffing on the bottom horizontal e-w stroke around my throat....where as the H does it with two simple passes....

Guilty As Charged Baby! Taunt me if you will...But the 'H' rules standing, is still in effect!!!!!

    Two Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Argan Oil
Gold Dollar 208 6/8 Hollow Ground
    Mason Pearson Pure Badger
    Haslinger Tallow Soap
    Thayer's Witch Hazel

I Had a Lovely 2 Pass Shave with My Gold Dollar 208 6/8 today..Made in China or not this is Darn Fine Carbon Steel..Its a lot Harder Steel than my Vintage Swedish Straight's & feels Different but very Sharp Indeed..This Dollar Sings Like a Canary & offers plenty of Feed back..I reckon this would make an Ideal Learning Razor for Folks because the Heel & Toe are very Rounded & Forgiving..:p

I enjoyed my shave today & ended up with a Mixed BBS/DFS Result with No Touch Up..I think a Lot of folks forget that the Asians were making Swords than could Cut Through Western Body Armour & their Metal Work was way Ahead of its time..:)

I like it my wife not as much she says it smells sweet. The soap lathers easily and is nice and slick, and the scent is spot on, orange and vanilla with a decent hit of menthol . The AS is great with aloe and some other nice things for skincare with an even better menthol hit. Orange and vanilla, Creamsicle!

I heard a story that King Richard (the Lion-Hearted) during a meeting with the Muslim Leaders, in Isreal, had one of his knights come out and lay an iron brick on an anvil and chopped it in half with several chops from an English Broadsword....and then a Turkish guy came out with some lady dancers clad in veils. And the lead dancer through her veil way up in the air and the Turk drew his semi-sword (curved sabre) and just held it still, edge up. And as the silk veil wafted over the sword, the edge sheared it in half without a pause in the silks downward waft....

Richard held his broad sword out and tried it and the silk just hung on the sword...When the dancers saw this they all started throwing veils over Richar's sword...Finally he had about 20 veils just hanging over his sword...The Persians were kind of giggling..Richard was embarassed and told his knight to leave.....lol!

The month of March with my two Schick E razors.

Road trips are causing havoc with my reports this month. So to recap:
    Schick Canadian E
    - 3 shaves w/Chinese Schick blade (sharpest so far)
    - 3 shaves w/ Platinum Plus. (not as sharp, equally or more smooth)

    Schick E2
    - 3 shaves w/Chick blade (marginally my overall fave combo so far)
    - onto the Platinum Plus blade for three shaves with the E2.

    Hot Shower
    Razor: Schick E2
    Blade: Schick Platinum Plus
Soap: Flannel in the Rain (PAA)
    Brush: Ever-Ready 300PBT Badger
    TSD Witch Hazel
    Myrsol Plastic Shave

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

Great shave all around. 14 hours later, minor stubble in usual trouble spots.

    Cheers!

I gave the OCMM another try today. Still a bit rough, so I'll try changing my combination of passes. Maybe skip ATG?

I found that either the OCMM or the Gem Clog-Pruf do not require ATG. With the bullet tip one can go ATG but I'm not a fan of the flying wing.

Hello TSD - my friday shave:

    1803.jpg

    - Route 66 "Sweeney Todd"
    - Mühle STF
    - GEM Featherweight
    - GEM PTFE blade
    - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser
    - Jeris Musk

I just love the performance of the Route 66 soaps. Three passes today, not because I had to, but I wanted to ;) The result: a BBS face. But I actually think I prefer the Schick G over the GEM.

Brought out the adjustable Schick today. Started at the middle setting but went with the high setting. A great shave was the result!

Day two with my new Gem 1912. I went easier today with a lighter stroke. No irritation like yesterday, today's shave was smooth and comfortable. I'll call it a DFS just so I have another reason to keep using the razor...so I can improve the end result. Now I know why these razors are so much a favorite.

    Friday's shave:

    Mongoose Alumigoose 2
    Feather Pro Super (2)
    Maggard Razors synthetic brush
    Haslinger Schafmilch soap
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

The Alumigoose loaded with a Feather Super is simply incredible, at least for me - the perfect balance between agressiveness and smoothness, resulting in a nearly perfect BBS shave with zero irritation/weepers.

Nonetheless, I'll be setting the Alumigoose aside for a while - The Bunny has arrived!

Now for the obvious questions. The wedge blade is chipped so it s no good. I will use it for practice honing. The SE blades 2 of them appear to be in good shape no rust. I know I will need to strop them. Do I need to shim them? looking at how it sits. It does not appear that need to. Am I correct in this assumption? If I use regular SE blades will that work also?

    Thanks.
