Arko Stick Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #54 synthetic brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable razor and a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160318_191759.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real orange amber
    Razor: Gillette Tech
    Blade: Gillette Platinum (2nd shave)
    Brush: Fine Angel Hair Synthetc
    Soap: Soap Commander Resolution
    Aftershave: Barbasol Brisk
    Balm: Soap Commander Resolution

2 pass shave today. I decided to bloom the soap, which is something I usually do not do. The lather was a bit runny at first, but whipped up to a nice consistancy. The scent of Resolution reminds me of cherry limeade, and is very nice. Hope everyone has a great shave, and I wish the folks at Soap Commander a positive Resolution.

    3. This is a fantastic razor! Very smooth, finding the proper angle was automatic. Didn't feel like it was going to slip out of my hand at all.

This razor convinced me that a TTO can match my favourite 3 piece razors. Don't know if it's the added weight or the thicker knurling but it just hits that sweet spot.

B2 Mongoose and Gillette disposable
Feather Super Pro (5), Gillette (2)
    Kent BK4 silvertip badger
Route 66 Lumberjack, Arko, or Kiss My Face unscented, depending on the day
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and CC Bay Rum

My shaves this week with the Mongoose, except for two, have been two passes. I continue to focus on near BBS results with no weepers. I did one three-pass shave and was reminded why I went to two passes. I tried my first one-pass plus touch up shave this week with the Goose and got a Darn Fine Shave. This gives me a nice option on mornings when I'm short on time.

And tonight, as another experiment, I used a Gillette disposal on 36+ hours of growth. I went WTG (face)/ATG (neck) on the first pass and XTG on the second pass. I got an unbelievably close shave with no weepers or irritation using the Little Pink Wonder. To top things off, I hardly even felt the alum. This was a good way to assess my shaving technique (TTT), and I now have an "easy" travel option.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week and didn't have Michigan State picked for the final game.

Thanks. It's really, really soft, but lathers great. The knot is a Whipped Dog black badger.

Sure is a nice layout you got there but the picture makes the whole thing shine. Good job, Mike.

Mike, thank you I'm glad you enjoy them. I like taking them but I also feel they serve well for those who don't care to read much. I'm trying to get everyone covered. :)

You know, the thought of using a cart in conjunction with any # of my razors had crossed my mind but i dismissed the idea without thinking it through. I had to use carts for awhile with my essential tremors, until i got the right meds to shave without bleeding to death. I`m going to try it, i still have a large stash of atra twins just lying in a drawer. Thanks Charlie, it just might raise my DFS to BBS, Good friend.
