  2. I stopped in an Antiques Mall on the way to Yosemite today and found the following for a total of $24.00. My wife is becoming a good hunter, she found the brush

  6. Seems your lucky streak is still running hot. Congrats. The short handle black beauty is my favorite vintage adjustable razor. What's the date code on it?

  10. My Hone Type 15 and some goodies from eBay and Gifts&Care arrived.
I've made a review thread for the Type 15, but here's the other stuff.

A small sample of Meissner Tremonia Dark Limes - Wonderful grassy lime scent
10ml Mugler Cologne - I read that the scent was based on a Moroccan soap, which made me curious. It smells clean and manly and I'll have to get the big bottle.
I Coloniali mango oil soap - I've wanted this one for a long time. The scent is hard to describe. It reminds me of some filled candies from my childhood.
LPL Cologne Fougere - The scent is a blend of Lavandula intermedia, Pelargonium rosae and Styrax benzoe. My nose is giving up on me now (pollen season), but I'd say this is somewhat like the original LPL with a healthy side of rose
TOBS Sandalwood - I was curious about this sandalwood as it's one of those creams you see often. Floral sandalwood?
Mondial Spicy Mandarin - It has mandarin, spice and something else. I think the scent will bloom once it's lathered
Agua de Colonia Concentrada Barberia Concentrated Cologne - Already have the cream and AS lotion. Nice bitter orange scent and longer lasting than the other citrus cologne from Alvarez Gomez
Vie-Long 12705B brush - I wanted to try a horse brush. This one is 50/50 mane/tail and it doesn't smell out of the box (hooray)
G&C threw in a sample of the Barberia cologne. I'll add it to my PIF drawer

EDIT: I also got a cute Castelbel pear blossom soap for my daughter.

  11. My first Schick N1 - It's user grade and I haven't been able to find one of these in the wild so I paid $14 (including shipping) which didn't seem too bad.

  18. Received some fun things in the mail this weekend;

    1) A vintage Mayd-Well brush
It's in a rather weathered condition but seems very structurally sound and no cracks, etc

    2) Some inks to feed my emerging pen interest

    3) The "Making Britain Modern" book by Sir Kenneth Grange
Grange is the designer of such razors such as the Sticky, Kompakt, Royale, Protector, etc.
This 200 page book is absolutely amazing and I might post a mini review on it :)
Might be the best $5 I spent so far this year.

  19. I get that emerging pen interest. In my early through mid-30's I bought alot of pens: Cross, Rotring, Waterford, etc in all forms of ink delivery and it was fun. Still have and use a lot of them now, just haven't bought a new pen lately. Moleskin journals too... Enjoy.
