    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    TSD Lanolin Iced Sub-zero

    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Aqua Velva Musk

I had a decent shave this morning. I haven't quite figured this razor out. Normally, I get pretty close to CCS with my other straights on just one pass. With this razor, I can't get that same level a closeness. It doesn't feel tuggy, so I think I need to play with the angle a bit.

I am thinking that next month, I am going to focus on getting to really know the differences between some of my razors, so this may be where I really figure this razor out.

Great write up. I also tend to use longer shaving strokes with SE razors. I find it much more efficient and comfortable.

What a great morning. The BSB-2 whipped up the Jabonman soap with little to know effort. This brush has great backbone with very good scrub and little to know scritch. I enjoy the big brush face feel in such a small package. I have really enjoyed the Jabonman soap. It has proved to be very easy to lather and has a great scent. I'm just about finished with this one with only 1 or 2 shaves left. It will get added to the buy again list.

For weekend shave duties, I substituted the Ikon B1 OC for the Wolfman OC. The Ikon B1 OC is a modern razor that seems to be based on the Gillette New Deluxe. The two shave very similarly. Going with a quick 2 pass shave this morning paying attention to my trouble spots as I went provided very good results. After a cold water rinse, there was enough residual slickness left to touch up a couple of spots ending in a BBS shave. Finished up with a splash of F&C Shambala and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    Soap: Route 66 Retro Spice
Decanter: Old Spice Scrimshaw Whale Tooth Decanter (Full and Bye) Product ID #3835 or #3838 There were six styles of Scrimshaw Decanters sold from 1974-1976. This item is full of Old Spice Cologne.A/S: Old Spice Deluxe Cologne

I got such an outstanding lather with the Route 66 Retro Spice and this shave brush I had to hit it again. I'm very happy I did. :happy088: The Old Spice Decanter is one of my favorites, not to mention the Vintage Old Spice Cologne.

I know first hand that service dogs have worked very well with Vietnam Veterans who suffer from PTSD. It is also my under standing that service dogs have also worked well for Veterans of other wars. I wish your Fiancee all the best and God Bless. :happy088:.

We still need the doctor to send everyone the letter. We went to see Lilo today and she is a very sweet quiet 8 year old dog. Very snuggly with a low activity level. She is exactly what we were looking for. I'm hoping to pick her up for good Mon or Tues.

Entertaining guests this weekend so I will be short and sweet. Loaded a Gillette silver blue yesterday and today, without a doubt the worst blade I've ever used it was unpleasant from the get go. I had high hopes. Tomorrow will be treet trial.

Second shave with this amazing Case Brothers razor. Two and a half passes, and a BBS. I'm going to give part credit to the lather. I win a PIF from @gmaugie007 and got a tub of Rt. 66 soap. Having heard everybody on this thread rave about it, I had pretty high expectations. The Sweeny Todd scent was not what I was expecting, it was better. I tend to like subtle botanical scents as opposed to slap-you-in-the-face overpowering scents. This was it. A hint of sweet, and just a nice fresh scent. Performance was great. I keep trying to get my soaps pared down, then I find another outstanding one. I am up to a top five list of soap makers, because I can't pick a favorite. This bumped out Sterling, and is easier to lather with. Good stuff, great shave!

It was made less than five miles from the High School I went to, and I have ridden every mile of Rt. 66 that still exists in Arizona on the Harley I used to have. Good memories to think of while I'm shaving.

    Vulfix Super Badger (660)
    Chiseled Face Sherlock
    Georgetown G12 Scuttle
    Pinaud Clubman Original

    IMG_2906.JPG

This shave report covers both yesterday and today. I'm behind but will catch up sometime this weekend.
Yesterday was my last shave with the Gillette Platinum Plus in my Birth Quarter Super Speed. Today was my first shave with the Wilkinson Sword in the same razor. The only other difference is that today I did not use the alum. The reason is that yesterday's shave was very uncomfortable and stayed that way for a few hours. I rubbed the alum on my face after shaving and it really lit up my neck. I let it set there while I cleaned out my brush. Afterwards, I found it hard to rinse the alum off my neck. Water didn't seem to do much. I splashed on Witch Hazel and rinsed that off, patted it dry, and then applied my Clubman which burned like fire too. My neck was warm and uncomfortable for hours afterwards.

So today, I decided I'd skip the alum altogether and not chase the baby as much as I did yesterday. I ended up with a much nicer shave, and closer too. Actually, I shaved a little too close in the center of my neck and picked up a tiny nick that needed the styptic pencil to close. The Clubman complained a lot, but not nearly as much as yesterday. And the discomfort was short lived. To top it all off, I got my first BBS since March 8. That was the only BBS I got with the Wilkinson in the Birth Quarter Tech.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
