I'm thinking this is a bad idea for the type D satin rhodium?

If you look closely, you will see the Bunny in Jayaruh's hand. It won't be long now. I got a PM today from @poppi asking for my address. I must go make some brushes so I don't think about the Bunny too much

The month of March with my two Schick E razors.

Road trips are causing havoc with my reports this month. So to recap:
Schick Canadian E
- 3 shaves w/Chinese Schick blade (sharpest so far)
- 3 shaves w/ Platinum Plus. (not as sharp, equally or more smooth)

Schick E2
- 3 shaves w/Chick blade (marginally my overall fave combo so far)
- 1 shave w/ Platinum Plus

Hot Shower

Soap: Flannel in the Rain (PAA)
Brush: Ever-Ready ICS Badger Black/Lucite

Two-day growth. Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

Another fine shave. Though it has a very good 1st pass reduction, my sense is that this blade is not as sharp as the Chick. But I'm nitpicking here - both razors are performing very well regardless of the blade.

I actually like it a lot. I use shave sticks when I travel and use Arko, Palmolive, and Irisch Moos. All three lather fine for me. I like the smell of the Irisch Moos the best. It's unfortunate that this product has been discontinued and hard to find.

The Schick E type is the quintessential injector in my book.....Right now, I'm enamoured by the H type because it shaves so close, so easy! But I can get just as close with my E2 or my G8....I just need to be alot more careful, or I'll cop a weeper or two....But I can never deny any of Rodrigue's creations....They no bout a'doubt it !

In honor of the Honerable RufusT, I shaved with my E2 and Long's/nos Personna Chromium Plus combo, to show my respect to his E-2 development and testing this month...

I used the William's Mug Soap and Omega 10029 combo to take care of my lather needs admirably....

And Thayer's Original Witch Hazel and Agua Velva Musk combination to seal the deal and make me smell so fine, I need to keep straight pins in my mouth to keep the girls from trying to kiss me....
Course, I lose the straight pins when I'm with my wife....

I have to say.....this is one of those "Good as it gets" shaves.....if I was entering a BBS contest where the prize was an Aston Martin, I might have to add a touch-up pass with the 'H'; just for insurance....But hey, this E2 finish is one BBS !

It's only a matter of time before everyone else knows what you mean. H's will be selling for crazy money then.

The Schick G1 continues to give me really close shaves. You have to be careful with it because it can bite you quite easily! One tiny weeper today on my chin that was taken care of with the cold water and witch hazel. The Iced Bay Rum splash stung a bit but quickly cooled down and provided a great feel.

I had a practice shave today with my 1914. I started with a Treet blade but it wasn't working for me so I switched to a Personna blade. That was much better and I ended up with a nearly BBS shave!

Thanks for the reminder guys...of a similar conversation I've had with others re: travel soaps. I've used Arko and LaToja because of their size and tolerate that though I'm not offended by their scent I don't love them either.

Then @clint64 tipped me off to his idea using DIY travel deodorant containers, that works real well with most every type of soap, except soft creams.

Here's a shot of a few I've done. With most soaps I just break off pieces and mold them with the heat of my hand into the container, with milled soaps I use a cheese grater and then the heat of my hand helps mold them.
