I'm honored and humbled, to keep working the technique to get to the level you're at sir!

(Not to mention being confident enough about my manhood to use an H - a girls razor!)

It appears that you are mastering your new PAL adjustable. It is a beautiful razor.

I agree, Jim. It's an amazing piece of engineering that's a half century old, as are many of the various vintage razors. As with many things; "they just don't build them like that anymore".

    Three Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
    Ever Ready 1924
Star Cru Steel Blade x 3
    Leon Hardy Pure Badger
    Monsavon Bol Tallow soap
    Thayers Original Witch Hazel

I had the Shave of my Life with my Ever Ready 1924 with a an Original Cru Steel Blade Tonight..The Cru Blade Totally Changes the 24 to a Super Forgiving Razor..All this Feather Like Touch Guff is Right Out the Window..The 24 isn't any more Aggressive than an English Made 1912 with a Cru Blade..Its still an Aggressive Razor for Sure as is the English 1912 but Very Smooth & Forgiving..:p

The 1st Pass with these Blades is very different to a Gem Blade..Some folks might describe it as being Tuggy..I had 4 days of Whiskers to Cut Down & a bit of Pressure is required with these blades..They are different Animals & require a Different Way of Shaving..I wouldn't suggest they are Tuggy..They are just different to what you are used to with a Modern Multi Faceted Blade..These Blades come into their Own in Subsequent Passes & in my opinion just Blow Away a Gem Blade for Smoothness..In Sum..The 1924 is a Super Forgiving Razor with the Blades they were Designed to Shave with..Different Animal Altogether..:p

I ended up with the Most Perfect Dolphin Smooth All Over BBS Result..My face is Shining like a Pair of Guardsman's Drill Boots..Its probably just about Impossible to get even a Weeper with the 1924 with these Cru Steel Blades..Pure Comfort is the Order of the Day..As I said..The Need for a Light Touch just Doesn't Apply at All..:D

:signs107: It could just be me as I can't seem to use a shave stick without it either getting too dry, too runny, or too thin. Maybe this will solve the problem once I get off of creams and into soaps. :)

You know you really found me a peach! I saw a couple that were already like $69 something and one $89 something that looked sweet, and I thought about them...But I couldn't afford to be even looking, and you found me that unbelivable 'buy now" price....I said no matter what condition it ended up being, I would be thankful...But then, this one made the scene and ended up looking "NOS" and shaves like heaven...I don't care how much the prices skyrocket on these guys, I'll never part with this one! :love055: Thanks for looking out for me and the consistent "coat tail pulling" :happy096:

I usually put the end of the stick under the blasting hot water faucet, while I splash hot water on my face for at least a full minute. Then my whiskers are hydrated and the stick end is a little soft, and wet...

Then I rub the soft end of the shave stick in tight ATG circles, til every whisker hair has it's own little white clump of soap...sometimes I do this for close to a minute...this borders on decadance...

While I am appying the soap, the brush is laying under the blasting hot water faucet....

Now I grab the brush and give it one or two sharp shakes, to get rid of excess water, and then hit my face scrubbing.....and this works pretty fool-proof for me....YMMV.....the Arko always just EXPLODES, being the "Lather Bomb" it is....Usually the lather is perfect, but if need be, you can always dip the tips of the brush in water to make the lather fluffier....

And the brush always has enough for however many passes I might want to do...

I know most have face lathering with a stick down....but hope this can help someone............LC

My Schick Type E 1 Injector arrived this morning from the USA..As you can see this One has a Square Spring the same as the Earlier Type D that Opens..This was the Only Type E with a Square Spring & they are One of the Rarest of All Injectors..This was obviously presented to a "Zain Prize Winner" which is a Competition that started in the USA Advertising Industry in the 1920s and is still held to this day as I understand it for the Best Advertisement Idea of the Year..:)

My Friend from the USA @Karl G Kindly done the Bidding for me & sent it over as the Seller didn't post to the UK..Two other friends from the Shave Den were Involved in giving me the Heads up on this Injector & Supported my Purchase..Thank You to the Kind Folks from the Shave Den as this wouldn't have been possible without their Help & Support..I am Deeply Humbled & Over the Moon..:p

Antique seller sent me some pictures of a razor for sale. Not familiar with star razor but looks pre WW1.

Reset my shave clock by skipping a Sunday shave and getting in front of a New To Me razor. In preparation and anticipation of The West Coast Bunny Pass Around I am trying out my first injector. Easy two step process installing a fresh blade in this very clean 1958 to 1964 built machine supplied by @Bama Samurai. Quickly I found the angle. With no missteps I WTG, ATG, & XTG'd for a shave I can compare to a FatBoy using a new Feather blade. Close, smooth, comfortable with no nicks or irritation. I didn't chase the baby, but with little touch ups this could give a perfect shave. Tomorrow I'll be back to straight razors if I need to shave. Like @Jayaruh I can't stop thinking about The Bunny. Even more now that I've experienced Injector style.
