I will not believe it until I can see the video. Will this have an impact on our application to the cartel????

Just 21 shaves in and you are close to catching the 'baby'! Well done.

Thanks! Close, but not there quite yet. Trying not to chase it and let it come. Had some pretty awful shaves too. At least no bad cuts, and only one that bled and left a mark for a couple days.

Nah, your membership is safe. The cartel values the amount of alcohol in the application process more than the reported accuracy of blade quality. That old YMMV thing just allows too much variability to make serious decisions like cartel membership rely on it.

I am curious to see how the blade lasts over a few days. That may be its weak spot is longevity, or lack thereof. Time will tell.

I found one seller willing to ship the Dorco Barber Blades to the US on eBay. Its about $1 a blade after shipping. I may get a pack if they feel like Kai mild. I am really liking the Kai mild right now.

I got a 30x jeweler's loupe in the mail today and checked my straights. They look rough so I'll rework them but the fun thing was when I looked at the painstick blade. My 5 shaves on the Kai mild has taken a toll on it. The blade shows chips and dings in the edge under magnification but it still shaves wonderfully. I don't know if I will understand his one.

Do you guy's want to do a group buy? I can buy the Dorco blades for between 4 to 5 bucks plus shipping. It cost me an additional $2.5 shipping to my house for the whole order then shipping to you. Let me know who is in. I can't let a brother pay $20 for these blades. I think all in it should be around $10 if I ship it in an envelope.

What are your local prices like for the CJB or Sam Seong razors? It might be that last little push that gets more BOTS members.

The razors are about $12. The razors also have a shipping fee to me, $2.5 per order not razor. Shipping to US is about $7.

Way better then the $35 I paid for my CJB. Prices like that make me want a Sam Seong to compare to my CJB. $27 for a razor and a 20 pack of blades after shipping. That's a great deal for anyone wanting to try a pain stick.

Sign me up for a Sam Seong and 2 packs of Dorco Barber Blades. I'll wait a week or so to see if anyone else wants to make the plunge at the same time. I think at most it looks like $32 for me so far.

    Monday Shave

    Cold water
    Pso-Homemade mint oil
    Razor-Gillette Flare Tip SS
    Blade- Feather (3)
    Soap- Eli's Extracts Bogata
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    ASB- Pinaud "Veg"

Another great shave with Eli's Extracts. I really like this cream, you don't brush it on, it's more like a lotion but very slick and it protects great. Plus, the scent is fantastic. The only negative to it is that I don't get to use my RazoRock Plissoft brush. The Flare Tip/Feather combo was great as usual. 3 passes for a DFS, just missed the baby but didn't chase it. The Thayers cooled everything down and the Veg made me smell purty.

I'm continuing my face stretching focus. I'm getting better but I may try alternating hands. There are a few areas I'm blind in the mirror and bad thoughts come to mind if I was using a SR. Have a great day folks!

The Sam Seong razor is about $1 more than the CJB. I may have one I, I will check tomorrow to see if I can find it. I prefer the CJB but it is good to compare at these prices.

Finished up the Jabonman Citricos today. @Drygulch , Adam I really enjoyed the soap and want to thank you again for the opportunity to give it a try. After the weekend with the Ikon B1 OC, I decided to alternate days this week between it and the Wolfman. Like I mentioned earlier the Ikon B1 OC is a modern SS razor that looks and shaves very much like a vintage Gillette New Deluxe OC. The Wolfman is my favorite DE razor but both the B1 and New Deluxe are close behind. The 2 pass shave this morning was very smooth and after minor touch ups ended in a near BBS. I have one spot on my neck that is very difficult to get perfectly smooth. I really enjoy the Ikon OC a great deal. Finished up the shave with a splash of F&C Shambala. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

I took yesterday off, and I got back at it this morning with my Frederick's Celebrated. It was a great shave. I did one pass with a little touch up for a CCS. I am just about out of the TSD Iced Sub-zero, which will be the first full sized puck/tub I have ever finished.

    March focus shave 20

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    Razor: Superspeed
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
Lather: TSD Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme type
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

    Cold Water.jpg

This was my maiden voyage with a Superspeed. What a great razor! I am going through items from the Nationwide Tour Box at the moment and this soap and razor were part of the box. I don't own a Superspeed yet and therefore gave it a run. Really nice audible feedback and efficient cutting. No nicks or weepers, no irritation. Pretty smooth shave for one pass with touch-up!

The TSD Yves Saint Laurent soap has a nice cologne scent. It looks to be an older tub from TSD. But that didn't stop me from whipping up some great lather. TSD products are tremendous.

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Received my Mikes Coconut yesterday, wow! I absolutely love the scent and performance of this soap. I used my Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip this morning and the one reminder I have is this razor stands tall with every razor I own. Great shave.
