    Hello folks, here's today's SOTD;

    1946 Gillette Milord.
    Rapira Stainless blade.
Vintage Ever Ready 500 PBT brush.
    Proraso Blue shaving cream.
    Proraso Blue post shave balm.
    Avon Mesmerize cologne.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1458726235.221278.jpg

Today's shave was a two pass DFS. I really enjoy my shaves with the Gillette Milord. So much so, that I obtained several. They shave similar to a 1947 Gillette Super Speed, but for some reason they seem to shave a little better. Maybe it's the GOLD!!!! Have a great day!

My face is not only BBS, it's frozen stiff. The first pass with the Glacial Lemon Chill soap was so damned cold, and the second pass was borderline-painful. My Plissoft brush whipped up such beautiful lather that was enough for a 5 pass shave, but 2 were enough to get the job done. The Rubby Dubby Doo provided its own special freeze afterwards! :happy088: :happy088:

    Excellent Shave
FF really lathered up thick today, I think because I used less water at the start and added slowly. The Futur did its job smooth and easy with the Personna blade installed - these blades usually work best on setting five for me and today was no exception. The For Flint aftershave added it's nice cologne citrus scent and skincare in the finish.
Prep: Body Shop Tea Tree Conditioner
Soap: Through The Fire Fine Craft For Flint
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Futur
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
    AS: TTFFC For Flint

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    Razor: Superspeed
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Arko Cool cream
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

    Cold Water.jpg

I enjoyed this morning's shave! The Arko Cool bowl lathered into tons of slick, protective lather. The scent is reminiscent of Irish Spring soap. One full pass plus jaw and neck touch-up for a pretty close shave. I'm enjoying the Superspeed (from @gorgo2 as part of the pass-around box) and the various soaps and creams I'm getting to try.

All in all a nice shave with no dramatic nicks, weepers, or irritation. I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Hello TSD. I did it - I opened and used my NOS Chicman soap ;)

    2303.jpg

    - Chicman Savon Créme
    - Edwin Jagger Best Badger
    - Gillette Slim Adjustable on 6
    - Gillette Silver Blue
    - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser
    - Truefitt & Hill 1805 Cologne

This 40 year old soap is nothing short of fantastic. If it was still available I would definitely stock up on it. Easily produces huge amounts of creamy and slick lather - and the skin feels great after the shave without using any kind of balm or cream. The only downside is the smell - it reminds me of MWF that has been stored in a dusty old basement for quite a while. But the scent is pretty faint anyways, so that doesn't bother me.

I guess I will save this stick for special occations. ;)

The shave itself was great - BBS in two passes. I just think this brush (one of my first) is not what I like any more ... too soft and floppy, I prefer some more backbone now.

Have a great day everyone. :happy088:

Good morning friends. Dolphin smooth three pass shave this morning with the Black Beauty set to 9. I'm loving these Palmolive shave creams! :love055: Outstanding cushion and slickness and the post shave feel is wonderful. The Black Beauty is a fantastic shaver and I find it easy to maneuver even atg under the nose. Part of that is due to the long handle and also the great balance of this razor. Have a great shave and a great day guys.:)

Awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed your Slim, you inspired me to use mine tomorrow. Happy the Noxzema worked for you, the cool feeling is very nice and so is the medicinal eucalyptus scent. It's also a great cleanser for shave prep. :happy036:
