    my order from Mikes arrived today. Befoe I could get a pic the wife had used the shampoo bar (hence only the wrapper in the photo. I'll be using the shaving tomorrow.

    Three vintage brushes showed up from the UK today. one a Simpson, one a Kent and the third an unidentified but the coolest imo. The base of it is a translucent amber color although the pic doesnt show it.

    I will be measuring them for new knots tomorrow and ordering 2 band finest knots for all three. The knot size for the Kent is huge (30mm)

    Any regret not getting the 40s non stamped version? I've read that the 50s version are milder. Any truth to that? I've been holding out but passing on some very nice 50s versions in the meantime.

    $90.00 with a case from the UK. Mint condition. This one fell thru the crack - in my favor. This razor, and my 49 Rocket, are my best and sm0othest shavers and displaced my DE89 and NEW SC as #1 and #2. The one shown is a 1953/54 all metal HD500 and feels great and meets all the hype. My 49 Rocket is also great an just a hair behind the HD. They are both heavy and tight like an instrument. Both highly recommended. I would have paid $200 for the HD - I like it that much. Good luck.

    I have a '46 Ranger Tech head on what looks to be a '48 SS handle, and it *might* be a tad more aggressive than the '54. Both are smooth shavers, though. I've also a '51 Milord, an equally nice razor...I don't think you'll go wrong with any SS when you mate it with a good blade. (btw...I used a 7 o'clock black box in the '54 last night. Truly a pleasure. Gonna go round two with it again tonight.)

    Being on a "No Buy 2016" has been a little rough but I was blessed this month by winning a PiF by @LuvWetShavin for an eVAHS razor that also included a TSD shave cream and several tucks of blades. Winning this PiF will easily carry me into summer. Thanks again LWS!!

    Almost, I think the puck lasts a bit longer oz. per oz., and I think that there is a bit more scent, but almost exactly the same.:)
