Thanks for the visual Jim. Guessed I deserved that. Got to say that the beer must be kept cold since it looks like that 6 pack has a bit of insulation (like most of us) on it. :D

Now I have a gem razor coming any day now and will have to acquire some blades. At this point I'm kinda wondering what I got myself into

If my wife saw me performing this activity; she would have me committed for sure:)

The month of March has focused on two Schick E type razors: a Canadian E and a US E2, while also trying out different blades with each.

    Hot Shower
    Razor: Schick E2
Blade: NOS Schick Platinum (Holland) (3)
    Soap: Nancy Boy Signature
    Brush: Rooney 3/3 "Super" Silvertip
    TSD Witch Hazel
    Myrsol Blue

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG
The beat goes on…another fine shave with this razor/blade combo! Maybe I should try the BillyFergie cut-back Feather Pro next in the E2?

    Cheers!

Went old school today with the 1914. Broke out a old wrapped blade, stropped it about 50 times and went to shaving. This was the loudest shave I ever had, man talk about buttering toast! I was able to bear down a bit with no trouble. I'm following Billy's advice from the 1912 thread. Anyway I went 3 full passes and had a smooth almost BBS shave. No nicks or tender spots at all. Pulled the blade and oiled it up for another day. A fun shave!

As You have found out its Easy Peasy..Its not Rocket Science.. I probably wont use a Gem Blade again in these Older SEs..I have my Later GEM SEs that were meant to take them to Enjoy with Gem Blades..:p

Tomorrow will be the fourth day in a row with the Schick D/twin blade and man has it been good. This is my best shaving Schick razor..

I have never used a Twin Blade with Type D..I just put one in after seeing you're Post..It seems to go in without any issues..I did notice it clamped down tighter as It would cause the blade is thicker...The spring seems quite Malleable..I would be reluctant to store it with a Twin blade in it for Sure due to the extra Tension on the Spring..But Hey..They Open & Close to get them out & in without Damaging a Blade...These are very springy compared to a E & G Type where they would have to be Forced in..It certainly didn't need any forcing in the Type D..May give that a Bash myself..:D
