That's an excellent purchase Andrew, I have the same sampler. They are all excellent except for the Sputniks but they are still miles ahead of Derby's! Enjoy! :happy036:

The antique stores around here are horrible, I saw this exact razor in much worse condition for $65. I need to hunt elsewhere

The same thing here beat up razors at mint prices, when I allow that it isn't worth what they are asking the answer is always the same "that's what they sell for on eBay " jackasses really. BTW I bought this on eBay!

Another early American straight. Crandall Cut. Co. Bradford, PA. This is a cutlery associated with the Case family as well. One of the scales is broken, but she needs better scales anyway.

My Gem G-bar arrived yesterday and I wasn't disappointed.

The razor is mint and appears to be a mid-1950s model based on the handle design. These razors are beautiful and look very modern.

The G-bar is a mild razor, but very efficient. It's not as aggressive as a 1912 and seems to be on par with a regular/silver tip super speed. I was able to fly through the shave. Not that I wanted to, but I was late for work.

This one is a keeper and has earned a place in the rotation!

Roby, after looking closely at it, you might be right. I love mint razors!

I have the day off so took a ride into Charlotte to an antique mall I just learned about. Wasn't expecting much, didn't find much, but did find this 1960.

Mechanically fine, just grubby. Seller wanted $40 but took $30 out the door. I rolled the dice that it'd clean up. It did so well enough.
