The last two shaves I have really been focusing on my technique and reminding myself that I shouldn't be putting any pressure on the razor and just let the blade do the cutting. It's always amazing how easily the blade will cut when you let it do the work. I think so often we lose focus on technique and then bad habits start to creep up. Looking back I can tell you that I allowed myself to starting using too much pressure when it wasn't needed. Any way had a great two pass DFS. Have a great day everyone!

My SOTD Razor - tv special Blade - Israel store brand ( repurposed dispenser) Brush- trader joes synthetic Soap - arko stick Post - witch hazel, neutrogena Cologne - citrus musk A good shave. I had very little stubble to work with after yesterday's shave ( 66 slim on setting 6 w/ Israel blade DFS smooth) . I like the arko. I have heard some don't like the scent, but to me it's a very plain generic soap scent, almost reminds of ivory soap. I applied the stick to the face directly and with a damp brush worked a nice lather. This soap lathers fast and easy. Not much slickness during the shave, only after the pass when water is applied did the slickness appear. Happy shaving gents!
Today's shave Hot water wash with nivea mens face wash and a washcloth Semogue SOC Soap Commander Vision Eaton Diamond Edge 85 5/8 full hollow spike ICED Aqua Velva ice blue Today's shave was nice. Three passes. Tiniest nick right on my chin, no biggy. The rest smooth and comfy. Finished with iced ice blue. Hope y'all did as well, or better.
Wet the brush tips gradually as your face lathering or painting the already lathered soap on, this way it will be slick from the start.
