I never understood why the Gem Clog Pruf doesn't get the Air Time it Deserves as a Darn fine Shaver..It has lived in the Shadow of its Older Brother the OCMM..:D

Thanks - I took some Simichrome to it last night and was really pleased with how it came up. First time it's gotten more than a hot soak in dish liquid or the toothpaste treatment. :happy088:

I got a GEM Featherweight through the Nationwide Box Tour this past week. Are these decent blades to use with it?

Found these in a drug store and went ahead and got them. I have no single edge blades. Thanks for your help!

Those are Carbon steel Blades..Some folks Love them Others Hate them..They need to be removed from the Razor & Dried as they will Rust..Never used them Myself as they are hard to get in the UK or Silly Expensive..Most Folks use the Gem Stainless blades.. They are the Correct shaving blades Tho..:p

After shaving with the Valet this weekend this type N was as sweet as honey. I have a Schick twin blade in there with 3-4 shaves on it and the shave was as smooth close and comfortable as any thing could be! Hope you all have a great day!

Guys both my contest PIF's just arrived! One each from our generous members Steve aka @swarden43 and Jim aka @Norcalnewb I'm so happy and excited to try an injector and SE! :happy036:Chosing which to use was made easy as the Schick N1 came with two blades from Steve. Thank you both so much God Bless! Will post up on SOTD and here. Any advice for my first shave and what blades are best for both razors etc would be most appreciated. The Type N has been called a mild razor but I think it's effective. You can use a bit of pressure with this one just go with the flow, keep the razor head mostly flat to your face and roll. The thing really shines with twin blades I'll send you a couple to try.

Thank you, Tom! I'm very excited, can't hardly wait till tomorrow so I can shave. Is there anything for injector shavers to use on their signature? :happy036:

Todays shave was my third with the ER 1914 steel blade and shimmed. I used MWF and my boar brush.

I had a nice three pass shave. DFS.

I will keep this in my rotation.

I Cant speak for Yourself Tom but the Shim excels in the 1914 in my Books whilst it may be more Subtle in the 1924 for Example...:)

This month I've focused on two Schick E type razors: a Canadian E and a US E2, while also trying out different blades with each.

    Hot Shower
    Razor: Canadian Schick E
Blade: NOS Schick Platinum (Holland) (3)
    Soap: Nancy Boy Signature
    Brush: Rooney 3/3 "Super" Silvertip
    TSD Witch Hazel
    Myrsol Blue

Three-day growth. Three-pass shave - WTG, XTG, ATG
Another great shave with the Canadian. Hard for me to discern a great deal of difference with the two E types. I may just have to do a same-shave face off - a different razor on opposite face sides during the same shave!

    Cheers!

Well it was sometime last week when I posted (tongue-in-cheek) about all posts from the regulars in this thread about how all the "kind friends" (formerly known as - Enablers) on this thread don't just relay their great shave experiences here but also provide "coat-tails" (formally known as - Justifications) for all of us to go out and obtain our own unit of their latest favorite razor. :whacky025:

And as a relative newbie, I lamented the need to continue what seems to be a never-ending hunt. :bang:

I know that this entire Forum is inhabited by Enablers, but this thread takes it to next-level stuff. :yoda

It's one thing to post glowing reviews to wet the appetite of us newbies, but, some of the Usual Subjects, who won't be named of course, (but you know who you are KarlFergie and BillyG) then start sending all sorts of hints about where in the Bay an orphan of that Type can be found. :mail:

Well, I've been searching the electronic jungle again and I'm hoping that my injector safari quests are finally over. :lam:

I stumbled upon (was guided towards) what I hope to be the final Missing Links to my injector collection to sit beside my Schick C, D, E, G, I, K, L, N and PAL InjectoMatic and Adjustable.:love055:

Ladies and Germs, with deep thanks and appreciation for the efforts of @Karl G and @Billyfergie :happy088: I present my (no longer) Missing (Alphabet) Links!

Good morning my friends. This morning was my very first shave with a Schick N1 injector and an injector type razor period. This shave was sponsored via a generous contest PIF from our member @swarden43 aka Steve. I did my usual three passes wtg, xtg, atg angles adjusted for my direction of growth. Results? Dolphin smooth with absolutely no irritation!:happy108:I love this razor, it was easy to find the angle by just presenting the razor head to my face and lowering till it began to slice then just keeping it there. The long handle was very much appreciated by me and I was also pleasantly surprised by the razors build as it has substance to it and it's not just a piece of plastic. It was extremely easy to navigate and wonderful for hard to reach areas like the tricky jawline. It's perfect for atg under the nose and excels at it. I even got nice feedback going xtg and atg. Oh!:love055: Thank you Steve! Have a great shave and a great day folks.:)

Great report! Great Photo! The best thing about the injector is the ease in following the contours under the chin etc. Glad you had a good time with it!
