Lest anyone wonder if Poppi or Redfisher failed to send on the stand I am the culprit. I guess subconsciously I just couldn't fully let go of the Bunny when it was time.
Last night I changed the comb to the NOTSO comb. I must tell you that I was a little timid coming to this morning's shave, but the NOTSO comb really came through. The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Two passes with The Bunny V3 injector razor with the NOTSO comb and a Schick Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. Really, after the first pass, I could have gone away with a socially acceptable shave, but I did the second pass and got a really great shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Today was the second day with the NOTSO comb. I think I have the angle down and the right touch. It was another great two pass shave ending with no blood spilled.
It was a one pass shave today. I decided that since I had been getting such close shaves that I would see how a one pass shave would go. Tomorrow, I may skip so that I can try out the WILD comb on Friday. We shall see. I don't remember the last time I skipped a day of shaving. It is is routine I have grown to love, and having The Bunny around, it is going to be hard to not use it.
So Jim, with all the anticipation you had while waiting I have two questions. First, is Bunny all you'd hoped it would be? And, two, are you going to go through withdrawal after you send Bunny on its way?
Herm, 1) I find the angle of the head a little unnatural. I will be trying out the WILD tomorrow, although I anticipate that I may only use it once. The NOTSO comb seems to work very efficiently for me. 2) Come Monday, I will be ready to let the Bunny go on its way. I will have plenty of pictures to remind me of our time together. I am grateful for the opportunity to try her out.
It's official. I'm taking the day off for Thursday's shave. It is to get an extra day's growth so I can try out the WILD comb. So, the gear will get the day off as the beard gets another day to grow.
NOTSO to WILD Changing the NOTSO comb to the WILD comb and changing to the Personna blade. Ready to go with the WILD comb and Personna magazine. 1. Remove screw and NOTSO comb. 2. Add the WILD comb and replace screw. 3. Insert key and inject new blade. 4. New blade in and old blade out. 5. Remove the key and all is done.
I must say that I was not looking forward to using the WILD comb, but I was pleasantly blown away with today's experience. I skipped yesterday's shave so I would have two day's growth for this shave. The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Only one pass and touch ups with The Bunny V3 injector razor with WILD comb and a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. It was a very smooth shave. There was no need for a second pass. I just did a few touch ups. The Speick SC is so slick I just wet my face and hit a few rough spots. I did not need to re-lather or do a full second pass. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

We got out and took a trip down to South Carolina today. On the way back we stopped in at the Carl Sandburg Home and I took a few pictures. I also took a few pictures in downtown Hendersonville where the tulips are in full bloom. Click on the thumbnails.
