Thank you! I got hooked on Old Spice, because it reminds me of my Dad. I think about him every time I use it.

I do as well, this morning was my first time trying Maggard Limes & Bergamot, it was outstanding! I will also mention that I enjoy RR Essential Oil of Lime pre shave. :D

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    Razor: Gillette Travel Tech
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: Tabac soap stick
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Fine Platinum, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG, touch-up

Pretty smooth, close shave this morning. First time using the Tabac shaving stick. I rubbed it on my face and then lathered with the brush. The lather was really nice, but it did dry up on my neck a little. That seems to be a trend with the soap sticks that I've used. But it all worked out in the end. Nice lather, good protection, good slickness.

I'm improving with the Gillette travel tech and the small handle. It's a pretty good little razor. I'm happy to have one for my dopp kit.

All in all a good shave. Hope you all have a great day!

It is a great balm. I use it every day, even the few days I don't shave. It acts as a great moisturizer, I think. The menthol version is also very nice.

I find the more water you give Tabac the better the lather gets!

Perry may I suggest La Toja, I have the shave stick version and have not experienced any drying, very slick soap and yogurty cushioning. :love055: @Linuxguile and @Spud have recently shaved with it, having equally excellent results. rockon.gif

Arko is a great soap for many. One of the best lathers for sure. And loving Voskhod? You brought a tear of joy to eye. Voskhod and Arko together? Just add the Veg and the doors to heaven open.

For Wednesday's shave, i'll be using all Edwin Jagger products.

Edwin Jagger Lime shaving cream (sample),
    Omega boar brush,
    Edwin Jagger DE89 w/Feather blade,
On the back of this sample pack is another sample of Edwin Jagger Lime aftershave balm.

Thanks, Robert! I have some La Toja but I got it secondhand. It was already in a small tub and I transferred it and pressed it in a different container that I could lather in. So I don't have the stick. Really good stuff though! I shaved with it one day last week.

Part of the problem is the Trader Joe's brush is not a high quality tool. I bring it in the travel kit so in case something happens it's not a big loss. That is probably part of the problem with using the soap sticks. I seem to use them on the road more than at home.

I see your delimma. Maybe a small investment in a RR 22mm Disruptor synthetic for face lathering will fix this problem and bring joy back to your Tabac Stick? 8 bucks...just throwing it out there. :D

Yeah it really was an awesome combination. What is the veg? I've seen talk of it here but I don't know what it is lol
