    Today I settled on just one pass with the NOTSO comb. I have been getting such close shaves that I decided to see how the one pass shave would work out. I may even skip tomorrow so I will have enough to try the WILD comb.

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

    Waking up this morning I had little reason to shave after yesterday’s face off. But my face did show slight variations - cheeks were still near-baby smooth though a visual showed a bit less ‘shadow’ on the E2 side. Oddly, the E2 side had a bit more shadow on one of my trouble spots - the jawline. I would judge this one in favor of the Canadian E, but I’m slowly getting to realize that my ATG strokes are different one side vs. the other. I think my dominant side shave strokes are a bit better, than my ‘across the body’ stroke.

    Aside from these blades getting nearer to the end of the road, todays’ shave was as good as yesterdays.

    I have decided to have a Wedgeday instead of Wednesday. Tonight will be my 1902 star with a wedge. Only have 2 wedge razors at the moment. That however can be changed

    I was looking forward to an evening shave with my Rolls Razor. I shaved with it about 2 months ago and got a good shave but the blade was a little tuggy and not quite shave ready. So I did some laps on a balsa strop coated with chromium oxide and on leather. I had over two days of beard and right away found the blade to still not be shave ready so I had to bail on it half-way through the first pass. :char039:

    In every cloud there is a silver lining. Or so they say. In this case the silver lining was my mighty PAL Injecto Matic that I picked up to finish the job. Ahhh, lovely, smooth, fabulous, a true pleasure. Like a dream. So, despite the disappointment of not making it with the Rolls, I got a no-holds barred, stand-out, fantastic shave from my PAL IM. :happy036:

    First of many I hope of Wedge shaving on Wednesday.
    Razor: Star 1902
    Blade: Kampfe Bros. Thanks to @spidey9
    Soap: Tabac
    Brush: WD 24mm Synthetic
    AS: Aqua Velva

    This was my first try with my 1902 with a wedge. Thank you Bob, I gave the blade 30 laps on my Allegro and I was good to go.
    I have shaved with my Rolls half a dozen times, so using this wedge today was not filled with fright. First thing I noticed was how freaking smooth this is. I found it not as efficient as the Rolls. I would say it is mild compared to the Rolls. This is not a bad thing by a long shot.

    I did a 4 pass shave tonight and ended with a mixed DFS to BBS. The weird thing is that my trouble area under my jaw is BBS along with my face. My neck I can feel a tiny bit of stubble. There is no irritation with this razor at all. I know I need to work on my technique with this razor. This is a blast shaving with.

    This weekend I will be taking and sand honing my Rolls. I bought all of my lapping paper so i am good to go.

    It's gotten a second life. I've found that if I apply it heavily and use enough water that it comes up nicely. Shocking, I know. :cool:
