Finally, A New Long Comb, for the price I wanted to pay! Now, is the best way to clean these up with scrubbing bubbles like their nickel plated brethren ?
I'm expecting one today as well.. Lol it'll be a duplicate for me, but it was part of a two razor purchase.
Just ordered a few things: Vintage Watkins shaving soap (never heard of it, and know nothing about it) few Mystic Water samples: Egyptian Dragon, Marakesh, and Lemongrass blue gum menthol. Have wanted to try this artisan for a while now, and finally pulled the trigger.
I will be looking to your SOTD for reviews as you try them buddy, I've been interested in this maker myself.
There will be reviews for sure. I was a bit unsure about the MW because of the reviews of lather issues, but so many people rant and rave about it, so I figured it is about time to try it. The vintage Watkins soap is something I couldn't find any info about it. There was one other person selling one on another forum, and even he said he have not seen another one, so I guess it is hard to find. Figured it was worth $10 shipped to take a chance.
I have never heard of it honestly but lately I keep seeing the Mystic Waters on SOTD's and the feedback seems to be very positive.
All other orders have arrived. Someone told me I should checkout Fuzzy Face Soaps over on Etsy. This one caught my eye and was only $6.60 shipped. Hope the scent is as described. "This scent is fresh, clean and vibrant. It's a single note fragrance smelling of ... fresh cut grass! Remember your childhood, frolicking in the grass, rolling down grassy hills and playing on the swing set at the park? This is the fragrance to bring it all back. It's crisp, sweet and green. You'll love it!" I love fresh cut grass.
Well a friend back in St. Louis let the cat of the bag when he asked me how I liked the brush they sent me. Haven't received a package yet regarding a brush but found out they got me a Simpson Duke 3 in best.
Good going! You got them for a steal! Scrubbing bubbles, with no chlorine, is the way to go. I think Herm has had good success with baking soda and aluminum foil with the water almost at boiling temperature in a pan. I've not yet tried that, so scrubbing bubbles is my tried and true method.
