Yes of course I'll keep buying razors, but I'm just about full up on the vintage alphabet of Schick / Eversharp! ...not that I've mastered any of them...that's where you'll be stuck with me for some time to come!

Good morning friends. Yesterday I received a generous blade PIF from Mike aka @Redfisherfor some injector and SE blades and this morning I put some Schick Twin injector blades to work. Wow! These are a complete game changer, the twin blades made the N1 more aggressive and efficient. I finished my shave in no time with no irritation and not one whisker left. Sublime shave experience!:love055: The Palmolive Cool Menthol cream is a cold yogurty, slick dream. Have a great shave and a great day guys.:happy069:

With two days growth, I tried the WILD comb and Personna blade combo today.

    EDIT:
I must say that I was not looking forward to using the WILD comb, but I was pleasantly blown away with today's experience. The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Only one pass and touch ups with The Bunny V3 injector razor with WILD comb and a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. It was a very smooth shave. There was no need for a second pass. I just did a few touch ups. The Speick SC is so slick I just wet my face and hit a few rough spots. I did not need to re-lather or do a full second pass. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

…and now for something totally different.

On this most curiously wacky of days I’m summoning all the intestinal fortitude I can muster. Counter to my normal testosterone pumping, machismo strutting persona, I will be shaving with a razor commercially marketed as “The Deb Fashion Razor!”

Developed by (Schick) Eversharp in 1947 - 53, it was the second in line (model H2) to their first model (H1) known as the Ladies Fashion Razor.

    Amazing shave!

It is an incredible combination of efficiency and handling. Not knowing too much of the history, I suppose the red cover could double as a handle extension but using the white base alone shortens up the grip and minimizes the leverage required on a long handle to adjust the blade angle. (I’m guessing that perhaps the short version was designed for the underarm and the extension to be used for legs?)

Two-pass shave (XTG, ATG) and my face is as smooth as it’s been in nearly a year of this new wetshave routine of mine.

I originally purchased this on a dare (darn you Injector thread enablers!:angry019:) thinking I could at least give it to my wife…but this will seriously compete for my primary ‘travel’ razor!

Very cool and generous PIF. I plan to try out my injectors soon. I just obtained blades from Ted Pella. Shipping costs are not great, but overall, the blades worked out to be just under 50 cents/blade vs the 1.00/blade for the Schicks on Amazon. Some folks on an injector thread gave the idea. So, is your injector now in your regular rotation?

It certainly is! It's alot of fun to shave with because not only is it smooth and provides a close shave but it's extremely maneuverable. Look forward to your thoughts on yours ounce you've tried it out. Have fun! :happy088:

Because the "The Deb Fashion Razor" had so much more market cross-over potential.

    Amazing shave!

Thanks for what you all bring to this thread. I wouldn't know or have tried half of the injector/SE stuff I've learned - without youse guys!

    Ahh, Pashaw.....
As far as the H type goes.....That was just an incredible shaver waiting to "Bust Out!!!!"....recent transgender qualifying goes out to Karl......:happy096:

Kinda like that PAL Injecto-matic......I was going to pick one up to try once, back in the day...(no comment pls)
And my Pop (who ran a tight Schick Home Shave Cave) asked me not to embarrass him in public, and wait til he wasn't with me to pick one up...

See, every shaver in the US thought that Ever Ready just waited til Octavious Rodrigues Patent ran out....and then just copied it. Sooo, Ever Ready just moved the manf. and marketing to England and sold them there...

Well, what my Pop and every other shaver in the US hadn't planned on was.....Yes, Ever Ready did copy the Schick Injector, BUT in ER's infinite wisdom and usual fashion.....They......Dare I Say It?.......Yes, they improved it! Ever Ready had been making some of the best razors ever designed for years before Schick ever thought about injectors. So when they got in the injector game, they put out a formidable version, as we NOW know....I think this one goes out to Billy F......:happy096:

Yep! Alot of talent at finding good shave stuff in dese dare woods......I say all you den party cats....give yourselves a big round of appause....and rustle on up to the bar for a shot of Menthol on the house! You deserve it!
