    Hello all, here's today's SOTD;

    1948 Gillette Super Speed.
    Polsilver Super Iridium blade.
    Vintage Ever Ready 500PBT brush.
    Maggards London Barbershop soap.
    Vintage English Leather as splash.
    Vintage English Leather cologne.

I had some serious stubble going today, and the trusty Super Speed obliterated it in two passes. I'll call it a two pass DFS! Have a great day!!!

The Bunny V3 with WILD comb
    Personna Injector
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Speick After Shave

The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Just one pass and a few touch ups with The Bunny V3 injector razor with WILD comb and a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna med prep
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: Tabac shave stick
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Fine Platinum, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG, touch-up

    Cold Water.jpg

Pretty close shave this morning (just now getting around to posting). I rubbed the stick of Tabac all over my face and then lathered with the Trader Joe's brush. The lather still dried out some on my neck as it did the other day. I used more water than last time. Oh well. I really think the brush is the main culprit. Anyway, it turned out fine in the end. The shave was pretty close and certainly enjoyable.

I am back home now after a few days away and am looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. I hope everyone had great shaves!

Thank you Robert! Today it provided a smooth two plus BBS with little irritation, and the angle was easy to find. This razor is not as aggressive as people seem to write. The angle sweet spot is small, but when I was on it, it was super smooth.

For me it does, but you know what they say, YMMV.
I tend to get my best injector shaves from any of the J, L, or M series Schicks. The Golden 500 has a long handle (which I prefer) and the hydro-magic lever for easy rinsing even during the shave.
They can be kind of pricy sometimes but if you're patient you can get a good deal.

Thank you for the info, I also prefer a long handle. I didn't know it came equipped with an easy rinse lever, that to me is very cool and handy. I will look around. :thanks:

Tonight was my first shave with a scuttle...It was ok. First, this is not the type with a bowl for lathering, it has a small indentation at the top for a soap puck with little holes and a small opening for the brush to go into. I used very hot water, soaked the brush and lathered in a separate bowl. I tried to lather on the scuttle but it is just too small. I did get insane amounts of lather so maybe there is something to lathering with hot water, I'll have to try it again and compare. Everything else worked great and it all came together for a DFS, a baby was within reach but I didn't chase it. Have a great day folks!
