Billy said, the handles differ, but the shave is the same....I wouldn't know, I only have an early English Deluxe version...theres a later British version also that looks a little different....But they are all made by Ever Ready...That makes them Aces with me....

Looks like a few Damaskeenes making the scene....I love it! That is such a classic...the one that started it all....
Heres mine, next to Hydrozilla and the AV twins....};^D

I loved it for a very mild shave....but then I discovered Billy's Hill-Fergie Shims...I think a half shim is about perfect for amping the aggression up just a hair....and making the Dammy competitive with my ER 1912 which was designed for the modern SE blades (post Micro-matic)...

Good morning everyone. Outstanding shave this morning with the N1 and may I say this razor is the formula one in my den, its fast and easy to maneuver like nobody's business. Happy to report that the Twin blade is showing no signs of wear on it's third shave. This Figaro Monsieur soap is amazing! It's so darn moisturising that I didn't add any soap to my third pass which should be a no no but it worked beautifully and my face feels moisturised post shave. :love055: Dolphin smooth guys! Have a great shave and a great day folks. :)

The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Just one pass and touch ups with The Bunny V3 injector razor with WILD comb and a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

One more shave with The Bunny and she takes flight to @richgem . Get ready, buddy.

First Shave of my April GEM pushbutton focus 4-3-16
    [IMG]
First shave with my new Omega brush (which is massive!!!) Lather was TSDshop London For Men Type. Finished it off with some clubman. The end result was an okay shave. Not the closest but take off quite a bit. And the razor bit me a couple of times when I lost the low angle. One thing about this razor though is it's effectiveness on the neck. I had a better shave on my neck than on my face which is a first for me. I am also finding it difficult to shave the jawline with this razor. May have to experiment with some skin pulling. Let's hope my shaves get better as my focus continues.

First shave with a GEM Featherweight. Holy cow! What an experience! The audible feedback is incredible. It was honestly a little scary because the blade seemed really sharp and it also seemed like a mistake could really cost you. I did two WTG passes and then some clean-up. Pretty close shave!

One thing I wonder about. The blade seemed to not be totally snug within the razor. If you moved it side to side there was a slight clicking sound. It didn't affect the shave (I don't guess) because I got a close shave and had no nicks or weepers. But that clicking sound was a little disconcerting. Did I load it wrong? I didn't see any other way it could have loaded.

I would venture to guess the Blue Star blades aren't very good. I took the blade out immediately at the end of the shave it already looked like it was discolored. I went ahead and tossed the blade out.

I enjoy posting in this thread when I use my G1 and now the GEM. Thanks for the feedback and the support!

    Prep: Warm shower

The blade shouldn't move..The only other thing that I can think of is that you are moving the head cap side to side on its hinges..That would account for the Clicking of the End Play or Float on the Hinges..:signs002:
