Don't ever downplay a day you can spend with your daughter. She'll be grown and gone before you know it. Now, go take a few minutes, reflect on the day, and burn it into your memory.
Woke up. PTL! Had a very hot shower, great shave. Spent some quite time with my wife while we had tea and toast for breakfast. Life is grand.
quiet, pleasant day today-I guess the major news item is that I just roasted some "farro"(a grain item). Mainly want to sprinkle it on my salads. Hope I did good!!
uuuuuggggghhhhhhh....BGGDAAH! I guess tomorrow I will lose some time at work, drive 20 minutes and get my car tags...again. If the state gets the system back up. This after trying twice last week. First time I got out of the truck, started walking and them remembered I had to go get the inspection done first. Go do that, come back, and the lady notices that the truck got registered in the wrong county, and they can't do it (the place here in town doesn't have all the authority or whatever for all things registration/titling, but they can renew registration). frustrating...maybe I'll just skip it this year
Been out riding the Deere around the yard...that weekly grass cutting ritual has begun. Been a beautiful day...bright sun and 72 degrees.
It's clean! Those wagons rock, my buddy had one in high school and we used to pack it full of people skip school and go crabbing off of Virginia Key mangroves. It was awesome! Never broke down either...
Had my first "stand-up" MRI, for my back. MRI's are unpleasant, by definition, but this was the best choice for a back MRI. The seat is narrow & hard, but you are upright and there is nothing over your head. I wore headphones & watched a big-screen TV during the test. So I'm just relieved that it is done.
I',m glad you could have SOME sense of relaxation during it. I hope the results are OK I'll never forget the MRI I had-for my brain...I actually asked the nurse before it began-"you sure I can breathe in this thing?"
I haven't seen one on the road since the mid 90's..Minivans and SUV's have taken the place of the old family station wagon. When I was a kid we had a station wagon we'd load up and go on road trips, it was just small enough for mom to reach back in the way way back and give you my brother a smack if he got out the line.
My Dad had a Plymouth station wagon back in the 70's. I remember the 3rd seat in the back facing the traffic behind you. That thing was a tank.
Ack!! Was it a closed MRI? As for me, I already know that there is arthritis in my lower spine. The result will be either it has A)stayed the same or B) gotten worse, as sadly, arthritis just does not get better on is own. Honestly, based on the way I feel, it seems about the same.
Y'know, @Sara-s, I was thinking...if your husband is still struggling getting back to good archery form, tell him about the 3 Stooges cartoon I told you about(remember, they shot way over their bullseyes, with the bows sounding like guitars that should be thrown away?)
No need; when we got to the range yesterday, we saw an arrow embedded very high on the wall. We learned that it happened because one of the kids had been shooting outside (at 50 meters) and forgot to reset her sight when she came in and shot at 18 meters.
