    I agree! I used to hate Astra SP's in my Weishi then I tried them in more aggressive razors and liked them. There are variables, improved technique and efficient razors changed my outlook on many blades. :)

    GEM G bar, Personna blade. The TOBS made a super slick lather with the Maggards brush and the Cat put a nice burn on.. Great shave ! Have a great day everyone!

    Razor(s): Durham Dorset(1)/ Shick G4 (1)
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Soap: Italian Barber
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    AS: Dove. Men+ Care

    Tried out the latest acquisition, Dorset. Hard to find the correct angle ( i think a dull blade, maybe?) Anyway a WTG on 1st 2 passes, 1st pass was slightly painful (no cuts). Although the 2nd pass was fairly smooth but did not cut very close (still no cuts). 3rd pass was my beautiful Schick G4, which took care of everything. I turned the blade around on the Dorset for tomorrow`s trial. I may have to buy a few personnas from "Try a Blade". I don`t give up easily (bull headed, some say). But it`s fun experimenting. Ended up with less than DFS, but what the heck, it`s only a trial and we learn from our mistakes, maybe i`ll end discarding (PIF) the whole project, who knows........ "Only The Shadow Knows". Happy Shaving.
