Excellent colors Robert. Close up of that handle looks like it is long enough to shave my back!

Thanks Guy, it's an excellent handle and length wise i would say it's the same as a Gillette Black Beauty for comparison. :)

What a beautiful razor, does it come with that grip or did you add that? :signs021:

Used the Duke for the first time today and ended up pulling 26 hairs out of the lather and those rearing their ugly head from the top of the knot. Instead of five shaves I will give it one more to see what happens but think I got a shedder. Also this is the first brush from Simpson (4 all together) that smelled of badger and had to washed twice with Masters soap to get the funk and the brown dirt or whatever that is in the hair. Still a slight smell but again surprised as my other Simpson's were not like this. Makes me wonder if this is older stock or new batch.

    Razor: Schick G4 (3)
    Brush: VDH
    Cream: Proraso White
    Pre Shave: Homemade
    Bowl : Pick up
    Newspaper Date: Jan. 11,1944

Two easy passes and a clean up, 1st pass ATG, smooth with the G4, 1 small weeper, 2nd pass WTG. easy as she goes all the way. No problems anywhere, smooth as silk. A small amount of lather on the neck which finished up. BBS all the way. No complaints, i like being a happy camper, don`t you? This IS fun.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY MONDAY
    sotd110.jpg

PREP: MLS SANDALWOOD PRE SHAVE BUTTER (1ST USE)
    RAZOR: GILLETTE TECH
BLADE: PRESONA MED PREP (4TH SHAVE)
    BRUSH: FINE ANGEL HAIR SYNTHETIC
SOAP: MYSTIC WATER EGYPTIAN DRAGON (1ST USE)
    POST: LUCKY TIGER (1ST USE)

I didn't have time to post yesterdays SOTD so here it goes, 2 pass shave, first time trying a few products. The MLS butter is CRAZY slick, I kept dropping the razor because the water in the sink was so slick, very nice sandalwood scent, and may turn out to be one of the best pre shaves I have tried, but it is a bit early to make that call. The Mystic Water soap made a nice lather with no problems. I did spend a bit more time loading, but got a wonderful lather, and the scent is similar to dragons blood, but different at the same time, very complex scent. The Lucky Tiger soothed the skin very well and has a citrus scent, but the skin care seems to be where this product shines IMO. Hope everyone had a great shave!

    SHAVE OF THE DAY TUESDAY
    sotd111.jpg

    PREP: NONE
    RAZOR: GILLETTE TECH
BLADE: PERSONA MED PREP (5TH SHAVE)
    BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC
SOAP: HENRI ET VICTORIA- COGNAC AND CUBAC CIGARS
    POST: FIGARO GOLD/ LUCKY TIGER

2 pass shave, first time with the soap. Scent is very nice, not too heavy on the tobacco, but it is a nice mix of scents. The soap lathered instantly with no problems, lather seemed to be pretty slick. So far it is a great product. The Figaro has a unique almost lavender type scent to it, I don't usually care for lavender, but I kind of like this scent so far, plus is had a bit of menthol cooling as well. Have used the LT on the last 2 shaves, and I wish I had picked some up sooner, it soothes the skin almost like it is a balm, and has some good ingredients. Hope everyone has a great shave!!

    Prep: Hot Shower. Noxzema
    Razor: Gillette British Rocket
    Blade: Voskhod
    Lather: Route 66-The Black Pearl
    Brush: RazoRock Boar 26x64mm
    Post: Thayers Rose Petal WH.
Aftershave: Route 66-The Black Pearl. Folsom & Co. Muir
Today would have been my moms 88th birthday.
I rotate a couple of razors from the front rack to the back rack, the Gillette British Rocket is an excellent razor! A tad bit more efficient than its American cousin. Route 66 TBP is AWESOME!! Route 66 is so slick my razor ice skated across my face, post shave is fabulous. The balm is out of this world. I love this RR boar brush, it's become my favorite natural hair brush.
Hey I'm not sure if you noticed that Folsom & Co website is closedown, word is John from F&C graduated from college and may or may not be making anymore aftershave, if he does it'll be very limited.
Be a blessing to someone else
