  2. Tuesday 4/5/16

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea face wash
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Lather: RazoRock For Chicago croap
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Crystal (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel pad, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
    Cologne: Burberry Brit by Burberry

In honor of my Cubs starting their season (with a bang), I opted for the 'For Chicago' croap I got for my birthday from @mhari_dubh. The scent is geranium and white flowers; some might call it 'delicate.' It lathered about as well as I expected, though I think I should have used a touch more water on its maiden voyage. The Crystal - selected in part due to a recent blade review here - was humming along nicely until it flared up for a minor weeper on the Adam's Apple during the 3rd pass. DFS results overall, with a blade that performs about like a Shark for me. . . that is to say, usable but not preferable.

    TESC Pre-Shave Oil
    I Coloniali Delicate Shaving Cream
    Jayaruh #56 synthetic
    Gillette NEW
    Personna Blue
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Pinaud Clubman

Since The I Coloniali Delicate Shave Cream doesn't lather, I decided to day to add Proraso Pre-Shave to the mix. After applying some PPS, the ICDSC was applied with my Jayaruh #56 synthetic brush. Just one pass and touch ups with the Gillette NEW SC razor with a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  4. SOTD

Razor - Gillette Executive in FB case D3-1958
    Brush - Muhle XL synthetic
    Shave Cream - Palmolive
Bowl - Tinned Copper shave bowl Turkey

  5. If I bowl lathered, I would get me one of those bowls. I like it. I would also like to try that Palmolive SC some day.
  6. Those copper bowls come in two type. Tinned and non-tinned copper. Got mine from Turkish member @Burak Kucukler. As far as the Palmolive cream goes it's good but I hear the stick version is great. I'm waiting on one.
  7. The Palmolive cream is awesome!

    Wacker Wednesday is ready...

I'm going to use this cream for a week and give it some good performance testing.

Is it just me or is there a subtle floral note in this one? Smells great in my opinion.

Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap
    Pso- Homemade mint PSO
    Brush- RazoRock Plissoft
    Razor-Gillette Slim on 9
    Blade- Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Soap- Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Gondolier
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    AS- Nivea Sensitive

First day using Dr. Bronner's bar soap, great scent, it lathered easily and I felt clean after the shower. I may have to try some more scents. Everything else worked great, the brush, the razor, the soap, the GSB; it all came together again for a 3 pass BBS. I'm really liking this soap, it has a wonderful scent and lathers with almost no effort. The Slim on 9 is a dream, efficient yet comfortable. The Thayers and Nivea ended a great shave. Have a great day folks!
