I like this expression deplaning, which refers to disembarking from a plane when it has landed. The term could also be applied creatively to other modes of transport like cars for example..that would be decaring. Or buses..debusing..it's my stop time to debus now. And trains..de-training. Motor cycles..decycling, which can also apply to bicycles. Scate boards..de boarding, which could refer to snow boards just as easily. There's snowmobiles..demobiling and campers..you guessed it..decamping. And last my personal favorite detrucking..now we're really detrukin'..though under moving circumstances this last one could prove hazardous..:eatdrink013:

Specifically, it will be either too high or too low, depending on the list distance they shot.

Lookin' great! Congratz and well done!

The post of the beauty has been removed by now, but by the rest of the conversation I gather it's a good looking station wagon. Gongratz, mate!

Hoping all is well (or as well as can be)!

Our shooting range is in the attic of a cultural centre. Six lanes, 18 m range. But the wall doesn't cover all the width of the attic. And there, some ten metres (about 33 foot) further on, is a pockmarked cabinet with - how is it possible - a broken mirror. The roof beams are pockmarked as well, as are the ceiling lights, the ceiling itself (2,4 m or 8 ft high/low) etcetera. We did that on purpose to east the mind of the new members.

Yeah, right. On purpose... Somehow it feels like my nose is growing...

And yesterday I took a fall with my moped (nicknamed Su...per Grover).

Rain. Corner. Slip. Concrete block. BANG!

Macaronus results: blue knee, elbow and shoulder plus bruised ribs (coughing should be done carefully now, but I've got a tickling cough).

Su...per Grover results: bent front fork, handle bar and foot rest. Broken front fender, speedometer cover and rear flasher.

Oh, and at first I could only steer to the left. Not even straight ahead, let alone to the right. And I was 18 km (11+ miles) from home. Luckily I had a repair kit with me plus it stopped raining (always nice in such circumstances). So I removed some of the coverings, 'adjusted' some parts (read: "bent"), remounted the coverings and carefully rode home.

Now scouring the web for spare parts and glue. I only have nearly enough cash for the most urgent part: the front fork. The rest has to be glued, bent back and stuck together with ductape. Until I have saved enough for replacements. Oh well...

At least I didn't have to slave my way home (2 meters / 7 ft walk; reposition moped; another 2 m / 7 ft walk; reposition moped; etc - for 18 km/11+ miles)

    Glad you're okay, Mike!

Yesterday, I had a surgery follow-up appointment with my eye doctor. I wasn't too surprised when she didn't give me the normal "looks good. See you in 1 year."
Instead, she gave me a shot to try and help clear up the remaining blood in my eye, and scheduled a visit in 3 months, with directions to call immediately if it got worse before the appointment. She also mentioned the possibility of surgery. I didn't ask, but I had the feeling she was talking scalpel type surgery, rather than laser.

It is what it is, and I'm not worrying about it. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Same here...you must've bought it, or someone else did, or they just took down the listing.
But, from context clues, I'll just say....be sure to heed the warning of the moose if he says the park is closed

Mike- sorry you took a spill, but glad you will be OK. And it was good of you to miss some shots to make the new archers feel better. (I will have to add that one to "The Archer's Excuse book". My personal favorite is"The target moved".)

JoAnna- prayers for improvement in your eyes.

Now Mike, tell the truth! A Purple Minion ran out into your path and you were so frightened that you took a spill.

    Glad you're OK.

34 years ago today Becky and I said, "I do."
I had only known her 3 weeks when I asked her to marry me.
I was 19 when we got married.

Yup, 34 great years with a great God-sent woman! Thank you, Father!!
