Have you tried soaking the puck before use? I find that if I let it soak about 10 minutes prior to starting, then use a well shaken out brush, I can get a quick load out of it and it produces great lather on the face lather. I'm sure you've tried that, but just checking.

Oh man are you going to be disappointed... I'm a chef and yell at new cooks about kitchen and knife safety and just letting things drop as its not worth hurting yourself. I get home and do stupid crap like this...I thinks there is a quote about practicing what you preach but I could be wrong... ;)

Wait, nothing is real anymore! You wear clothing while using a straight? Why?

    ;)

Seriously. Shoes too. Straights are nothing to be careless with.
ouch! Get that looked at if there is any question. If you need sutures, you need to go soon before it starts healing. An infection in a hand is quite serious. I hope you feel better soon.

Well the chef can do as he pleases. However, when you go to work with that cut, I'd suggest finding a different reason you got cut to tell them. You might never live that down!

Well, safety, and that restraining order from the neighbors with the view in the window. You know, minor things like that.

Here are a few teaser pictures over HERE. Maybe this will help. Maybe not the willpower thing but it should help something.

I'll jut screw with one of my cooks wait till he comes to the pass or cutting board and ill play it off that he cut me. :) Either that or the good ole alley way knife fight story is still believable....right?

Can lids are mean. We had a guy go to the ER for 8 stitches because of a can lid that got him while he was taking out the kitchen trash. Other then how neat and clean the cut is you might pull that one off.

Yes, that is the method that I am using to load the he brush but I'm bowl last hearing from there. I'll try face lathering it. I think I'm just spoiled by Route 66. It lathers so much quicker for me.
    Thanks!

The worst scar on my hand is from a can lid in the trash. Can lids now go inside the empty can before it goes in the bin. Sharp little buggers. Might even be sharp enough for a cartel shave

Oh don't get me started on can lids...same thing happened to one of our old Sous Chefs except he was only taken the lid off. We where short handed and we were doing all the prep ourselves and all I hear is "Uhh Chef?" and I said "We are behind schedule so unless you have cut your finger off or are done and need more stuff to do can it!!" He walks up and goes "Does this count?" and that thing was barely hanging on. Can lids scare me more then working with a knife.

Well you'll never know until you try! The first time I ever had stitches was due to a can lid at a restaurant. Working short handed, opening a can of green beans with a busted can opener so I went for a half cut on the lid then a screwdriver pry up. Hand slipped, screwdriver slipped, can lid went through my right pinkie finger right at the side of the knuckle.....to the bone. Three stitches once I had time to get to the ER. I worked for 2 more hours gauze wrapped around it and two gloves over it. The life of a GM some days. LOL

It will never be number one in my den, but it will always be IN my den. It's the one soap I can count on for a quick lather and also makes a great travel soap. I don't mind the scent either. When I say all of that I wonder why it's not number one in my den. But, Mitchell's Wool Fat occupies that spot mostly because of how slick and luxurious I find the lather. Tabac is a very close number two. I love the scent of both of those soaps. I also have Proraso Green that was my first soap. It will always be around as well, though I admit I'd like to try the Red. I think I may prefer sandalwood to menthol/eucalyptus but I haven't tried it.

You realize Arko is dirt cheap? Twelve sticks are like 15 bucks or less at times.

Ordered 2 sticks for less then what I pay for a cup of coffee at dunkin donuts. Also bout some arko shaving creams. :)
