The injectors are a blast! Tomorrow i'm bringing back the Schick N1. Have you tried injectors? :)

As far as injectors go. I like Schick all E,G and M2 adjustable as well as the PAL injectors. I hated the L as it was to mild and gladly Pif'd it to my FIL. Can not comment on the others as I have not tried them but hear they get milder as the model letters increase (minus the adjustable).

I sure have. Currently have an E2, E3, and a Canadian E4. They are very fun razors! I think the E4 is the most aggressive of the 3 and is more prone to bite if you aren't careful. All provide excellent shaves that's for sure

That's right I just remembered seeing them in your SOTD's. Very cool razors! :signs021:

My very first SE shave not quite two years ago did not go all that well (the scar is almost gone). However, I kept at it, and a few months ago I sold off all of my DE's because I realized that I no longer have any use for them.

I'm not saying that that will happen to you, but SE shaving is very different and there most definitely is a learning curve. Give it a few shaves before drawing any conclusions. Also, if you're using the Gem stainless steel blades, they can be a little harsh the first few shaves before they settle in.

I had a perfect shave, dolphin smooth. I just didn't find the razor especially fun to use. It's top heavy and bulky making it awkward under the nose. I'm not doing away with it though. I see myself shaving with it again simply because it does provide a great shave but i've also found that razors have a way of growing on me. I found the Gem blade just fine, irritation free shave. :)

The Type E 2 that Opens is the most Aggressive of the 3 you mentioned but Paradoxically its also the Smoothest...Most of the Guys around here will Attest to that..The Type E 4 is the same as the Type E 3 ..The difference is only cosmetic in that it has no lugs on the spring the same as the G Types..I did find however that the Type E 3 & E 4 are not as Smooth & Kinda Bit my Neck regardless of the blade I used..I sold mine because of that..:angelic007:

This month I’m focusing on the Schick Type F.

    Morning shave
    Hot Shower
Soap: Barrister & Mann Diamond Shave Soap
    Brush: Rubberset 400-4
    Razor: Schick Type F
Blade: NOS Schick Plus Platinum (1)
    TSD Witch Hazel
    AS: Florida Water

Thanks to all the Usual Suspects and their suggestions for the next blade for me to use in my Type F shakedown. I chose to move from the Chick to the NOS Plus Platinum. The Dutch Dangly will have it’s day, like every dog, real soon. :chores016:

    Two-pass shave. (XTG, ATG)
As good as the shaves were with the ‘Chick’ blade, my first impression of the Plus Plat is that it potentially has a higher ceiling for me. This first shave was noticeable smoother than the Chick in this razor and, at the time of the shave, just as efficient.

I’ll be further assessing this blade for 2 - 3 more shaves, before I try the Dutch and then possibly a cut-down Fearther AC and then a Twin…all before the end of the month. What fun!

    Cheers!

Question, regarding the E2 handle colours. I have two that maybe the same colour butterscotch with varying shades or is one butterscotch and one caramel as I've read.

Not sure you want to use the Twin. Too tall to fit correctly.

I don't Reckon these handles are Typified as Being different as in Caramel or Butterscotch..The One thing I Do know for Sure is that some of the Canadian Type E Handles varied in Shade & Depth & were Indeed some of the Most Beautiful of all the Type E Handles..:p

Thanks Tom (and Billy), I've heard this before and mostly want to agree. :think002: Just thought I'd throw it out there again. :angelic007:

Because I saw @Hodge used one and let him know that same thing. He reported, that after removal, he did not notice any damage to the F.

    SOOOOO......my dilemma......

Why not take the chance? :signs002:

But if I'm getting +1 shaves out of other blades, why take the chance? :rolleyes005:

(internal dialogue - yeah, why take the chance in damaging the F, especially after ALL the $$$ you invested in it? :angry019:
And you'll never find another without a higher cost? :lam:
How many times do you have to learn the hard way! :angry032: Speaking of which, I wonder if the Mets have a chance this year? Their pitching is still top notch, but I think they need a better set-up reliever. and Wright's disability is really starting to show. and was Cespedes worth all that money? I mean every ball hit to him is an adventure! Maybe he should DH? Oh that's right, no DH in the National League. Aargh, they should outlaw the DH! Whose stupid idea....)

:o Whoa, sorry about that interlude, haven't been getting enough sleep lately. :mog:

You're right Tom, and Billy! as usual, thanks brothers!:eatdrink047:

Thanks Billy, don't know if it's coincidence but I find the Canadian built E vs U.S. have held up better, both handle and head.
