I think it's neat how some reviewers say "If you liked Executive Man, you'll love Sharp Dressed Man(and vice versa).

This one might take a bit. My nose sucks for describing scents, but I love them so, here goes:

Sandalwood: It has a good wallop of that woodsiness. Smells to me like carving a model airplane out of balsa, scrabbling up a basswood tree while busting up the bark a bit, and a lille cologne scent. Awesome. Gets an enthusiastic thumbs up from the wife, too. Definite re-buy.

Limes: It is just pure lime. Better than everyone else's in its puriness, almost like a little peel was grated into it. Haven't seen it listed plain for a while, so glad I bought a couple of pucks when it was still going around. I am forever holding out hope that Rod will run another batch.

Lemony-Orange: My favorite tied with Limes. This one has been gone for a while, and one can only hope we see it again for at least a limited run.

Autumn Glory: It is a fall sort of earthy smell to be sure, but kind of old fashioned soapy. Not in a bad way, but almost smells like a company hand soap your grandma would put out. Like it, but probably not a re-purchase.

Island Man: Fruity and sort of tropical. Based on Creed Virgin Island Water. Almost lighter than what I prefer, but I like it, especially on hot days. My wife likes it too.

Glastonbury: That gorgeous hippy chick and a buzzed afternoon watching some tunes outside, drinking something rummed and maybe fooling around on a blanket. The patchouli in this isn't a powerhouse, but if you don't like it in general, stay away.

Wintergreen, Glacial or otherwise: Smells like gum. Good scent, except I got really bigdog hammered on some 100 proof wintergreen schnapps in the fish house once, and it didn't end well. This scent kind of makes me want to yuke up a bit, but that is just a personal thing.

Hot Apple Cider: Exactly what the name says, and I brought this one up because it reminds me a bit of Apple Pie which is made with everclear and which we also drink in the fish house, but has never resulted in my yuking down an ice hole, so the memories are actually fond. My daughter says I smell like an apple pie candle. I know Rod cut back on the cinnamon this year, but it still leaves me a little flushed feeling. It will be a very seasonal, special occasion soap for me.

Black Ice/Glacial Obsidian/Anise: Smells like Jelly beans. I love it. My wife likes it. I don't think it drives her wild in any sense, but she always says mmmm.

Scot's Pine Sheep Soap: Very strongly pine scented. I love it. The mutton tallow makes for the best performing Stirling I have ever owned. Waiting on Electric Sheep, because the sheep fat is awesome.

Glacial Lemon: Smells like lemon, will freeze your face off like liquid nitrogen. All I've got on that one.

Grapefruit: Just like TOBS Grapefruit, only this one is actually slick.

Coconut Lime: Coconut is the leader in the scent race here, but the lime is right behind it. Cool, tropical a bit, wife loves it.

Orange Chill: Smells like an orange.

Ben Franklin: Kind of spicy, almost a bay rum but maybe a bit sweeter. My daughter says I smell like the sweet potato cinnamon apple walnut casserole I make on Thanksgiving. My wife hates it. I generally only wear it on weekends when she isn't around so I can put on a lot of it and just bask in my own smell.

Bay Rum: Too strong. Aired it out, left it in the garage, still too strong, and because I had mushed it all up flat in a pie pan to air it out, it really wasn't PIFable. I threw it out.

Texas on Fire: I thought it smelled more like tires on fire. My wife actually asked me if my next new scent was going to be burning diesel fuel. PIFfed.

Margaritas in the Arctic: An all time favorite, and it does smell very much like a margarita. A nice amount of menthol, but I commonly M Bomb it. Wish it came in Glacial.

Gin and Tonic: A little juniper/piney, a little sweet. Really smells very much like the drink. A keeper.

Ozark Mountain: Woodsy, smoky, maybe a little earth. I love the soap, the AS has a little too much lingering smoke for me.

Sharp Dressed Man: I really kind of liked this until my kids said I smelled like carpet stain remover. I of course bristled at that feedback until my son grabbed a bottle of Resolve or some such out of the hall closet. The two smells were very very similar and it ruined it for me.

Executive Man: Mellow cologne-ish scent; wife enjoys it. Very masculine, but muted.

Green: Maybe my favorite of the cologne scented Stirlings, think it is based off Polo. Wife likes it.

Curveball: Another cologne, think it is from Liz Taylors Curve. I believe it is discontinued, but I love it. Very masculine, wife prefers Executive Man or Green.

Bergamot Lavender: Exactly what the name says. Citrus and a little floral. My son stole this one because his girlfriend likes it.

Black Pepper Lime: Rod's awesome lime. You can actually smell the pepper in it at first, dries down to a wonderful mellow scent. Wish it could last longer.

Rosemary Mint: Another that is just like the name. The mint is awesomely cooling, and it is a favorite bar soap of mine.

Spice: I haven't tried actual old spice for a couple of decades, so this one seemed close enough to me. Nobody else in the house liked it, I gave it up.

Almond Creme: Just like Cella only good.

Vanilla Sandalwood: I liked it, but the vanilla was too strong. If that could be toned down to just the slightest hint, I would love it.

Sampled and didn't care much for so not enough time to have an opinion:

    Galveston
    Mountain Man
    Barbershop
    British Stirling
    Bonaparte
    Port Au Prince
    Frozen Tundra
    Stirling Clubman
    Tuscany

I know I am missing some, especially some that I just sampled, but this is probably the lion's share. If I think of more that I missed, I will add.

Good thing it isn't your nose doing the describing, then. Your brain did a great job, methinks! It's largely about imagination and the ability to associate.

Funny thing, I don't see ExecMan/Aventus as ultra masculine, rather as a younger, urban or metro 'new masculinity' style. Maybe b/c the fragrance is less known and used over here in Norway.

I'm all with you on Scots Pine Sheep; the mutton tallow definitely adds something.

Got my stirling order in today. Fast as always.

Let me start by saying im not a menthol soap fan but i felt i needed a stirling menthol in my collection. I got orange chill..... and wow was i blown away!

First the scent... AMAZING!!!! MIGHT BE THE BEST THEY HAVE! smells like fresh squeezed orange juice.

Second... i smelled the soap and didnt pick up any menthol scent. Then i shaved with and wow!!!! This stuff is cold!!!!! I really enjoyed using it and might have to pick up more stirling menthol soaps.

    Thanks rod!!!

I am glad another person likes it. I think it is one of Rods most underrated soaps. Don't see it come up as often as the Glacials, Frozen Tundra, and MITA in SOTD's.

The scent is heavenly. It's one of the only soaps I've owned/have that I have to remind myself not to eat/drink.

Your wife will look forward to having very cold legs, OR she just wants to smell the fragrance as much as she can. (No offense to your wife, I'm sure she's lovely).

Ben Franklin is a kind of under the table favorite of mine. My wife can't stand it, so I tend to only wear the aftershave when she isn't around, which makes me use the soap less.

It is kind of bay rum, some root beer or cream soda or something like that. I love it, but I can see where it is sort of polarizing.

I really love every one of my Stirling products, and I have a bunch of them. Just received the Iced Pineapple soap for this summer and it's killer. I've also got Pharaoh's Dreamsicle soap and aftershave, and I've said it before and will say it again, if it was $50 per tub I would gladly pay it. Orange Chill, Black Cherry, MITA, Coconut Lime, all wonderful. I also use their unscented balm with menthol and really love it, and also their witch hazel and aloe splashes. Just fantastic. Especially for the price I don't know any product that can even touch Stirling, and I've tried most of them. Oh and the bar soaps are fantastic as others have mentioned!
