That's hilarious! There is speculation that the Mona Lisa is Davinci, so technically, she did need a shave!
Very cool. I was thinking the Bunny was holding it's own, even against the B-2, but then you had to bring the A-10 into it. I hope that's the Wild comb showing.
Sorry guys. Tried to get it in the mail today, but couldn't get away from work. It'll get out tomorrow. I've got pics and my final update, but will need to wait till tonight to post that. Sent from my Spider-Phone
I posted a bunch of pics, but only had a couple of responses, so I didn't think anybody cared. Lol Sent from my Spider-Phone
As a West Coast resident, I'm going to throw my Bunny review into this thread. When I received the Bunny I had seen a couple of Billy's reviews and knew that he had been getting nice shaves with it. I was optimistic about the Bunny. I knew I was getting a prototype, and having dealt with prototypes in my work life, I had certain expectations regarding things like fit and finish. I knew i had set the bar a little low as soon as I opened the package. Prototypes typically don't come with well thought out packaging and accessories, such as a stand. This is what I received: The fit and finish were impressive. This razor did not look like a prototype. The comb fit squarely where it was supposed to fit with absolutely zero slop or play. The finish was polished with attention to detail. I was very impressed. It was now time to give it a spin. I started by loading a new Chick blade. I had seen Billy's warning about being careful to not run the blade across the stops and was careful. I left the Notso comb in it, lathered up some Route 66, and put the razor up to my face with the handle sticking straight out. I then lowered the handle just enough to have the blade make contact and started a WTG pass. I had some audible feedback and proceeded to finish the pass. I was a bit surprised that I had more stubble than I expected after a first pass but proceeded to do an ATG pass. I rubbed my face to figure out where I might need some cleanup and was disappointed to realize that I needed cleanup everywhere. I cleaned up with a DE and started reading through the threads on TSD. I soon realized that nobody else was getting such poor performance and that I must have screwed something up. I watched Tom's video on loading blades and decided to try a new blade on the next shave. I loaded a new blade and tried again the next morning. It was entirely a different experience, which led me to believe I had dulled the first blade on the stops in my excitement. I had a CCS shave after the first pass, and a DFS after the second pass. I did a little cleanup on the neck and was very happy with the results. I used this razor for the next ten days and experimented with all three of the combs. Here are my views on the different features of this razor: Appearance: It's a beautiful razor. Especially for a fan of the Schick Type B and Type F razors. I love the shape and two different metals used in the design. I love the fact that a prototype even has decorative accents on the spring. Handle: I had worries about the smooth surface, but had no problem holding onto it with wet hands. I do tend to choke up on the razor on cleanup passes and found it a little awkward at first. After a few days, I was totally comfortable with it and wouldn't suggest any changes. Combs: I like aggressive razors so I jumped to the Wild after two days. It didn't take me long to realize that in this case Wild might not be the best choice. While I wasn't a bloody mess, I had some irritation. Just for giggles, I tried the Mild for a few days as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice. shaves with the Mild comb. By the end of the ten days I settled on Notso as my comb of choice. I was getting consistent BBS shaves with the Notso comb with less passes than I needed with the Mild. Open comb: The open comb on this razor proved to be an unexpected benefit. My first instinct was to rinse out the comb after each stroke. After a while, I quit doing that and found that the lather buildup in the comb actually helped with lubrication. I started rinsing the comb only prior to lathering up for the next pass and grew to really like the open comb. My final impression is that this razor is an absolute winner that I hope goes into production. I would get in line to buy a production version. This is my picture of the Bunny in the wild at the entrance to Yosemite National Park. This is my picture of me with the razor. (Disclaimer: Incorrect angle was for photographic purposes only, do not shave like this at home) Tom, I wish you the best in this project and am glad to be a part of it.
Hmmm....quantity v. Quality me thinks. (Internal dialogue....east coast v. West Coast? ....say, where does the Bunny Creator hail from anyway? Not that it's a competition or anything... )
