    Saturday Shower/Shave
    [IMG]
Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap
    Pso- Homemade grapefruit PSO
    Brush- RazoRock Plissoft
    Razor-Gillette Slim on 9
    Blade- Gillette Silver Blue (5)
    Soap- Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Gondolier
Thayers Witch Hazel scented with grapefruit EO
ASB- Nivea Sensitive scented with grapefruit EO

I went full on grapefruit EO tonight, I used it in a new batch of PSO, I added it to my Thayers and to my Nivea ASB. Very refreshing and the Nivea makes the scent last a decent amount of time. I retired the GSB after this shave, it probably could have gone again but I wanted to start fresh on Sunday. Three passes again tonight for a BBS shave. It's time for dinner and relaxing with the family. Have a great day folks!

    Razor: Blackbird
    Blade: GSB (3)
    Brush: FinWrx Custom 24mm Finest
Soap: Stirling Black Ice with a whole lot of M Bomb
AS: Stiling Black Ice menthol added

Day five on the cold water went really well, with a perfect shave from my favorite razor. I mixed a ton of extra menthol to the Black Ice in order to get it to Obsidian levels, and froze my face off! When I used the witch hazel from my 65 degree bathroom, it felt like warm water. Wonderful!

I have been trying to make some changes to my travel set up, and tried out my new bowl. Little collapsible silicon thing I paid like two dollars for on e-bay. It really worked great. The rubber is even a little rough, so it seems to mix really well compared to smooth porcelain stuff. Talk about my new favorite nothing fancy thing!

Does it have those grooves on the inside as well? If so I can see how that would help create lather. I like the color too. :)

Yeah. I should have showed the inside. It has the same layers. I lied, I got it from Amazon and paid six bucks for it. I remember finding something close to them on e-bay, but was having problems ordering so I went to Amazon. I was antsy enough, I just paid the extra four bucks.

    Soap - Arko
Post - Cold water rinse, Alum, The Veg

Late post today due to a very early start this morning. Meeting at 8am today for new product rollout and a full ten hours after that. Home to dinner and a bit of time with SWMBO and now it's finally over. So, this morning I again found a smoother face than I expected, though it was a couple of hours earlier than normal. Still, it seems like the Rapira SS is doing a fantastic and long lasting job. The Wolf was amazing as always with the face lather and the first pass was still smooth with no hint of the blade slowing down. Very impressive. Second pass XTG and I was rushed a bit on time so I did just a few touch up spots and........I think it's a first for me.......three babies in a row on a blade. I'm almost stunned by that. And, I'm not sure whether to credit the blade or my technique.

I can answer that question, though. I think both. And, I also credit the time I spent on pain stick and traditional straight in helping me map my beard better as well as making my overall technique that much stronger. It's really fun to shave at this level. A great classic vintage razor, an obviously fantastic blade and a steady hand that knows what it's doing, all on a layer of a fine lather from a great soap and brush, well, it doesn't get much better.

On to the Rapira Swedish Supersteel tomorrow. I've used this blade a bit more so am more familiar with it. But, as for the Blue/Black/Pink Rapira....I see an order of 100 or more in my future to put alongside the Voskhod.

Good news from all the boys today.....the thaw is really getting things moving again as they try to get back her for MAYhem. They even got a great spring day to do some sunning in today. Makes me wish I was there.

Another long good day, finished with a two pass DFS. This blade seems to finally be giving a little, will give it one more try to make sure it wasn't lather causing the tug. I feel like focusing heavily on angle of attack with the Fatip is helping extend blade life. Can't wait for MAYhem! Warm soft rain falling on the prairie...other than that, all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a Super Sunday!
