Monday Shower/Shave

Not the greatest shave tonight, probably because I'm very tired. The thought crossed my mind that if I was using a SR I would have put it down and picked up a DE. I only did 2 passes tonight but I finished with a DFS. Absolutely no irritation tonight and the ice water felt great, I really enjoy the coldness the ice brings to the shave. Nice! We had a pitbull had to put him down he was having really bad seizures. We sure miss our boys.

 

Pre-Shave: Occams pre-shave soap, cold water
Razor: British Rocket HD
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Omega 49
Lather: Weleda Cream
Post-shave: Alum, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil​

 

Finished out 6 days with a Bic chrome platinum and changed it out for a Rapira Swedish Supersteel. I had high hopes for the Rapira given all the positive comments I had read about it here. Certainly no irritation, but maybe not quite as close a shave as with the Bic.

 

That blows kind of hard, and I feel somewhat responsible (kidding.. almost) for voting for the Haslinger. i had not tried it, only heard good things, and thought the coconut would be "uplifting" for spring. I hope your new soap arrives quickly, because as a work traveller also, I understand the value of having a few comforts of home along. Safe travels, Friend.

Good morning everyone. Today was my first shave with my new to me Schick Adjustable Injector which i purchased from @Troy M, thank you buddy! At the recommendation of my buddy Mike aka @Redfisher i set it to 9 and got to work. Beautiful efficient, smooth shave! I love this razor, very maneuverable and well balanced. Not a whisker left, dolphin smooth and the iced water does it again. Have a great shave and a great day folks.

Now that I have finished my tub of TOBS, I am shifting my focus to Cella...that wonderful, sweet scented soap of Italy. This morning I started the day with my Semogue brush and an Astra SP loaded in the Gillette Heavy Tech. I can't think of a better way to start a Tuesday morning. I am looking forward to the weeks ahead!

Lather: Ginger's Garden Salty Mariner
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Old Spice knock-off, Nivea sensitive balm
WTG, touch-up



Nice shave this morning with Ginger's Garden Salty Mariner scent. Fresh, clean, ocean breeze fragrance. It provides good cushion and slickness as well as good post-shave care due to all the hydrating ingredients. It's a great soap!

Continuing use of the vintage Wilkinson Sword blade made available by @DaltonGang. Smooth, sharp blade. No nicks or weepers today and no irritated spots.

One big pass with touch-up and it's time to get the day started. Hope yours is a good one!
