A very nice shave today, especially for being on the road. The 101 is one of my favorite travelers; mild like a Tech, heavy like a SS. Went with the cream again because I am having fun playing with my new stupid plastic bowl.

Sorry no pics., I am traveling and have some sort of Dinosaur internet here in my little home away from home. I will save them and catch up.

Solid shave today with no drama. The lather was effective, though I think I overwatered it a bit. Tabac AS is a classic compliment to Fireside.
    Prep: Jack Black Nourishing Oil
    Soap: B&M Fireside
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze
    Razor: Merkur Futur 5-5-5

Darned good shave this morning - the Sottozero soap lathered great and even though the menthol effect doesn't let it live up to its name (Sottozero means below zero in Italian) it's still there. The Lucky Tiger a/s cream felt a lot cooler and the Rubby Dubby Doo made up for any shortage of iciness. I'm really loving my Plissoft 26mm and it feels super to use my 50's Super Speed! :happy088: :happy088:

I've given this some thought and I decided I will keep a running list of the date when I start a new soap and when it ends. Counting is too hard for me...but keeping track of dates should be easy enough! Thanks for the idea! :)

Nice shave this morning with the Maggard razor, vintage Wilkinson blade, and Ginger's Garden soap. That soap is really fantastic. It has great post shave feel and good skin care along with good cushion and slickness.

I've enjoyed enhancing my witch hazel with various aftershaves. Sometimes I use just plain witch hazel followed by balm but other days I like a little scent. This knock-off Old Spice I'm using smells pretty good! I enjoy it. It's from Fred's Discount Pharmacy and a large bottle was only about $2.

I went with two passes today, no touch-up. Pretty smooth shave. I hope you all have a great day!

That's great! I'll be interested to see how long a tub lasts. I am keeping up with the number of shaves with my soaps just to see how long they last in shaves since I'm not using them consecutively like you are. Good stuff!

Everything worked well for a DFS this morning. 10 second load on the soap gave me sufficient for 3 passes and I got it just right with slickness and cushion. The razor made it seem easy at a setting of 5 and 6 for the final neck pass.

    Prep: shower
    Lather: Route 66 Lumberjack
    Brush: RR Plissoft
    Razor: Gillette 195

The more I see that Stephan, the more I'd like to give it another go-but I need to "clear out" many aftershaves to get to it.Maybe by next winter.
