I would advise you not to judge the results from just the first shave. There is an adjustment period but it's worth working through it as cold water shaving is a revelation! Plan on trying it for a week before making a decision.

Absolutely, I'll never pass judgment on something unless I've given it the good Ole college try. Usually I give this about 10 days to allow for adjustment and transition

Good morning friends. Fantastic shave this morning with the RR Jaws OC, very smooth shaver and efficient also. The iced water and Palmolive Cool Menthol provided a face freezing comfortable shave this morning and it's very welcomed being that it's feeling hot and humid in these parts. The MITA balm finished things off with more icy goodness and i'm a happy boy. Have a great shave and a great day guys. :)

Okay so let me start by saying that you guys are geniuses. So yesterday I decided that I was going to give cold water shaving a shot and lime everything else I always allow for an adjustment period.

This was not necessary as after only one shave I am hooked. Here I thought I was allergic to many soaps or my technique was horrible. Turns out that all I needed was cold water to have an amazing shave, now I can revisit some of those soaps I liked

Thank you all so much for helping me fall in love again with shaving

I'd say the cuke witch hazel is a good addition to a cold-water shave.

very good....it's hard to get vintage creams/gels, etc...because of all that "reformulation" action.

You are welcome. This thread is long overdue. The response to it has astounded me. It is great to see many who were already doing the CWS, and then to expand the base is just a plus. Welcome to all our new cold water shavers.
