I have had my dad's old razor since he died in 2000... he was a great man. WWII/Korea war vet, one of the SeaBee's that took back the Philippines from the Japanese. When he returned from WWII, he bought this razor, and I watched him use it until the day he died. Check out the before and after pictures. Razor Emporium Revamp in gold... I think they did a beautiful job. I will be shaving with this razor now, until I move on from this life as well.
Been trying to locate where my paps razor went to thankfully I own the house now so I'll be searching every inch for it

I received it in the mail today. In fact I wasn't expecting it until mid-May, but they got it done fast. I will shave with it in the morning... that will complete the circle, and begin it's new life. Thank you all for your comments. It is good to have this heirloom... a perfect tool to remember him by. How many of us remember watching a man shave when we were boys, wondering when we would be a man and do the same thing? To be able to use the actual razor I watched my dad use is an honor. I'll let you all know how it works. I imagine there are some here on the forum who use these?
I have a MIB 1948-50 Gillette Aristocrat. I can't bring myself to shave with it. It is so cherry that I don't want to mess it up. But it does not have the same significance as yours.
