Falling pain sticks.....keep all toes and fingers inside the ride until the razor has come to a complete halt! I get the same pull on the goatee at times with the AC razors. Just a bit too close with the tip or the heel and you get that. As long as it doesn't cut into it and make it necessary to shave it I'm good.

Let them look. If they're using gels and other canned abominations they have no right to look with anything other than envy and confusion at those of us who are more, um, enlightened.

I have that bravado with blades. I'll give any blade a try just to prove I can make it work. Doing it with soaps is awesome as well, and much safer!

I'll do it with blades too. Soaps are harder to loose blood with so I'm a little quicker on the draw with them.

Cheap with small quantities. I'll be ordering a new sampler from them soon so I can do this all over again with the Sam Seong.

    Wednesday Shower/Shave
    [IMG]
Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap
    Pso- Homemade grapefruit PSO
    Brush- RazoRock Plissoft
Razor- Muhle R41 head on a Maggard MR5 handle
    Blade- Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Soap- Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Gondolier
    Thayers Witch Hazel
ASB- Nivea Sensitive scented with grapefruit EO

First go with this razor and all I can say is "Wow!" This baby is amazing. First of all is very well made, it fits together so well with zero blade play. Paired with the MR5 handle it has some weight, more than I've experienced before. It doesn't hurt that it's beautiful to look at either.

All that means nothing without performance. My usual first pass is XTG but I was honestly a little scared of this razor, I've never seen a blade so exposed before in a razor, so I went WTG first pass. Usually this results in almost no reduction but not tonight, I could have done a little touch up and called it DFS. I lathered again for an XTG pass, great audible feedback in this direction and by the end I was DFS+, only a couple areas with some stubble. I lathered again and went ATG, my usual difficult areas were mowed down easily. I don't think I've had this little hair on my face since I was 7 years old. Easily my best shave ever. I guess my beard just needs an aggressive razor.

I throw myself on the mercy of the court. I broke my rule tonight by using a different razor but in my defense, look at it, it's awesome looking. I'm now doing a focus, everything else will stay the same I'm just substituting the R41 for the Slim. I will say that the techniques I've learned thanks to this forum, and this thread in particular, gave me the ability to use a razor as aggressive as this and not draw any blood. Have a great day folks!

If you were doing a Rule we'd have to assess a penalty. However, on a focus, and with that awesome looking razor, the substitution is not only allowed but, if you hadn't substituted, I would have assessed a penalty requiring you to send that razor to me to sit in the "penalty box". Sharp! And also sharp as in the performance too. Very nice.

I can't say no to that! Just having a soap named Marvy is a very marvy thing! (you may groan now)

And here I thought you liked me. :ahem: I actually have most of a puck from several months ago, maybe closer to a year, when I spent the month with Williams. If I get it to actually perform I'll remember you. Or, if we get to go camping and need mosquito repellent. Either way I may be calling.

    April 14 Fool's Pass focus

Back from play time in Macau so it's time to use a straight. Today is my PRC Western grind kamisori. The standard 4 passes and then S to N on my upper lip, once again my nose is still on my face. The Fool's Pass is turning out to be easier than I thought.... but it is important I don't to cocky.
