Taiga is my favorite scent from the Latha line. Excellent pine/ basalm mix scent. Nice choice!

The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Blue Tip razor with a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Bill, I always like seeing the old papers on your SOTD pics. They make things interesting around here, and if we don't remember our history we are sure to repeat it. Keep up the good work!

 

THURSDAYS SHAVE


Prep: MLS Sandalwood pre shave butter
Razor: Gillette Tech/ Somerset
Blade: Perma Sharp (3rd shave)
Brush: RazoRock plissoft
Soap: RazoRock SMDF
Post: B&M Fougere Classique

2 pass shave today. Got much better lather with this soap than last time, went with less water in the brush. The menthol is real light, but the scent is nice. The Perma Sharp Blade is excellent, the shaves seem to get even better after the first few shaves. Finished with Fougere Classique which burned like heck, but I ended up with a BBS with little ittitation, so no complaints. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Back home tomorrow. My little kit I put together is a pretty decent set up for being on the road, but it is a work in progress, and I want to get home to my den. I am already daydreaming about Friday night's shave. Some glacial freeze will be packed next week.

To the cold water guys: My trial week was over days ago, but I am now finding myself wanting that cold water shave. I don't know that the performance is any better for me one way or the other, but I am loving that cold splash. It is pretty refreshing.

Thanks Robert. Rosemary Mint was the first PSO I blended up 3 years ago and my 2nd favorite homemade I have in the den.
