Friday, TAX DAY, and just two days ago I got the call from my accountant that I am basically even.... Which means in my life, I have just won a small/moderate sized scratch off.... YAY ME!!!

ICED Virgin Island bay rum
Another nice soap. Good bay rum scent, lather wad nice, yhree passes for a great shave. The tuckaway is a very good razor. Finished with iced bay rum.

Still goin' cold, and picked up the logo!! I like it, now that the weather has hit the sixties...

Part of it is the talk of improving one's shaves, and I never really had any problem with that. Part is the invigorating feeling which one sort of has to grow into.. I will still maintain that living in one of the most miserably cold but inhabited regions of the North American continent bar none, that I am not sure I want a cold water shave in January. (When you constantly see The Weather Channel talk about Tower MN being the coldest spot in the nation, I am just over an hour away...).

We get used to cold here. My wife was (no BS) laying on the deck asleep in 46 degrees in a swimsuit, a week ago. (I bet @crackstar can vouch for this as not being BS. ) The sun feels warm anyway. I am just not ready to denounce my hot water forever.

I can certainly understand the value of a warm or hot water shave in such awfully cold conditions.

 

But I am still trying to decide if I wanna dump the ice maker into a salad bowl and go for it, so you ARE the Ambassador!!

I have also refused to participate in any of those polar plunges where people jump through holes in the ice, while paramedics standby with paddles.... I have however pledged somewhat healthy sums of money to watch my friends do it while I drink beer... No Sir, No way....

Another automatic two pass DFS courtesy of Derby and the lemon-scented Turkish gift from heaven! Been doing some razor testing this week, glad to be back on SOTD! Long day preparing for the storm to come. Looking like snowed in for the NBA playoffs is the plan this weekend. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

agree with you on that. I have the double strength in regular bay rum and wish he had it in the Lime & Peppercorns.

The CC was my first premium razor purchase that to be purely honest was luck as person I was speaking with about a brush he had for sale mentioned he was thinking of selling his CC so I jumped at first mention of it.
