SOTD April 18, 2016 Proraso preshave cream Fendrihan CC DE / GSB Omega / Cella WH / Proraso ASB Nice shave this morning. I am enjoying listening to this razor and blade "sing" as it cuts through my beard. I am learning to appreciate the auditory feedback of this combination. Enjoy the weeks gents and ladies.
SOTD April 18, 2016 Menthol Monday Prep: Warm shower Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (1) Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb Brush: Vulfix 2006C Pure Badger Lather: Soap Commander Endurance M-Bombed Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Old Spice knock-off, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, XTG Pretty nice shave in two passes. The Vulfix brush is new to me from a PIF courtesy of @PickledNorthern. Unfortunately it lost a good many hairs in the loading and lathering processes. I'll try it again in a few days with hopefully less hair loss. It's otherwise nice and soft and a good looking brush. I bowl lathered the Endurance soap with some TSD M-bomb but I probably needed to load more soap in the beginning. I didn't have the volume I can normally get from bowl lathering. The Astra SP blade worked quite well in the Maggard razor. Two quick passes and it's time to start the day. Have a great Monday!
SOTD April 18, 2016 Prep: Hot Shower. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri Wonderful shave. The Shave Revolution "Evolution" brush is excellent. Soapy Bathman Tropical Lime. WOW! I was looking for a summer soap and I found it. What defines us is how well we rise after falling.
Menthol monday Hot water wash with niveamens face wash Semogue SOC Cyril R Salter Fresh Mint (TSD sample pack) Cadet tto14 Persona lab (3) Glasial alcohado Monday again, Salter makes some good lather, scent seemed a bit flat. (Like old life savers) I'm thinking mint scent may be parishable. After two passes the lab died, third pass with astra sp. The combined resulted in a very good shave. I finished with a/s lotion I got from the shave den. Its very cold, maybe coldest I've used. And I've iced several of mine. Im stillchillin as I write this. Hope y'all did as well, or better.

Schick M1 Adjustable razor Personna 74 blade (day 4) CO Bigelow SC Plisson/L'Occitane brush Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe M&L Florida Water Cologne w/added menthol Turn down the aggressiveness of the M1 even further and got a nice easy, comfortable shave. It seems that the Personna 74 works better (for me) at a lower setting. Normally I set it at a 6 with new Personna blades but am now down to 4 and it works even better. Now go enjoy your day folks

Menthol Monday 4-18-16 Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (9 on WTG pass then 5 on the ATG pass) Blade: Voskhod Lather: the awesome Palmolive menthol cream AS: Proraso Green Had an excellent shave this morning, no longer doing my SE focus, only had 1 good shave the past 2.5 weeks and I think it's time I enjoy myself some. I may revisit again in the future, we shall see. The snow just keeps coming, my face matched the weather outside that's for sure. Face is BBS and I'm ready to take on the snow today. P.S. this was my 3rd cold water shave in a row, I may have fallen in love with the invigorating feel of cold water. When I tried it a few months ago I hated it, now I love it, funny how that works. Have a great day folks!
CJ, great setup and beautiful frosty photo! Happy to hear the cold water shave is working for you. Here's a banner, use it at will.
Glacial Spearmint was my first menthol shaving soap and I thought they were all that cold........I almost never tried another menthol product again.....
