I received a couple of boxes today, plus one from Clint @theFAT98 he had told me he was sending a jar of soap. The Amici aftershave is from IB, smells great! B&M Cologne Russe from Shave Revolution smells wonderful. The Jasmine Tea from Soap Smooth and the Ever-Ready 100T with a synthetic knot is from Clint @theFAT98 I am completely blown away with the Ever-Ready 100T, Clint did a great job restoring this wonderful brush and I am honored to own it. It's the truly amazing friendship we build here at TSD that make everything else seem so small. Clint, I thank you for being a great friend. Kerry
The razor on the right. I strongly suspect it's been replated at some point in it's life, but I don't care. It shaves just like the Sheraton and that's all I wanted. Edit: after careful examination, I don't think it has been replated, but it has at the very least had a dropped TTO knob repaired, and been subjected to a buffing wheel. Edit 2: So, after doing a bit of research, apparently the plating on the Senators was on a whole 'nother level than later generations of razors, and comparing it to the Sheraton, they both show a level of polish not seen on later razors.
THE MONGOOSE!! I was hoping Maggard would still have one of those left by the time of the shave meet up coming up soon. It looks and sounds like a wonderful Razor. Enjoy!
That is from the newer batch of Soap Smooth releases, and the performance is excellent. I'm not sure if yours does, but some of them have kyvas water in them which I thought was interesting and unique. Enjoy the new gear!
They just recently started selling this razor - it is a modern one, made from plastic. You'll find it here
