    Monday night shave
    20160418_214154.jpg

Prep: MLS Sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Gillette Tech/Somerset
    Blade: Perma Sharp (6th shave)
    Brush: omega s synthetic
    Soap: RazoRock Moroccan secret
    Aftershave: Barbasol Brisk
    Balm: Reef Point Admiralty

2 pass shave tonight. I keep forgetting to add the cold water logo, the last 3 shaves have all been cold water, lather and everything. I have really been impressed with this tallow RR soap. The scent is a unique citrus, and pairs well with RP Admiralty. Very nice shave, not quite BBS, but not bad either. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Essential oils have a much nicer and more natural smell to them if used properly in soaps. Nonetheless, in talented hands, fragrance oils can be used, very well, also, in soaps.

    Two-pass shave - WTG, ATG

This razor was one of the last injector razors that I've had my eyes on and it finally found me as a PIF from @Bama Samurai

Beautifully easy shave was certainly worth the wait! The first pass felt as though the head was operating like a vacuum cleaner and with none of the typical injector 'velcro' sound, yet produced a fine first pass reduction. The ATG pass sounded more typical, but the blade cut like buttah resulting in a dolphin-smooth shave.

The whole time I felt as though I was cheating! This was much too easy.

    Cheers!

    Menthol Monday Shower/Shave
    [IMG]
Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap
Pso- Homemade grapefruit PSO with M-Bomb
    Brush- RazoRock Plissoft
Razor- Muhle R41 head on a Maggard MR5 handle
    Blade- Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Soap- Catie's Bubbles Mile High Menthol with extra M-Bomb
Thayers Witch Hazel with TSD M-Bomb
TSD After Shave Milk Neroli with M-Bomb

This being my first participation in menthol Monday, I went full on menthol. I added 2 drops of M-Bomb to my PSO, 3 to the soap, 2 to the Thayers and 2 more to the AS milk. Only one word can describe it, Fantastic! I am definitely liking this menthol feeling, it's cooling and refreshing. I'm going to have to try something with more menthol in it soon, see if I can take it. The R41 and GSB combo is great, towards the end of my third pass it was slightly tugging so it will be a new blade tomorrow. I missed the smallest of areas under my chin so call it DFS+. Have a great day folks!

    Razor - 1920 old type
Brush - klenzo reknotted 2 band badger
    Blade - personna red Israel
    Soap - razorock lavender
    Post - neutrogena balm
    Cologne - citrus musk

    - so this shave was aggressive. I don't know if the blade was bad or the razor is aggressive. But this felt like I was shaving with a Bowie knife. I felt nothing but blade the whole time and it felt as if I was taking skin with it. I almost quit and started over. The soap isn't that great I couldn't get it to thicken up or add slickness. It was definitely airy. I got my face smooth out of it but boy did the cologne sting something fierce!! Im going to have to wait a couple of days for sure.

    Hell all, today's SOTD;

1920's Gillette Empire Pocket Edition Ball End Old Type.
    1944 Gillette Blue Blade.
    Proraso Red canned goo.
    Kent BLK2 badger hair brush.
    Nivea post shave balm.
    Captains Choice Sandalwood as splash.

This was another great shave brought to me by Gillette. The Old Type model 102A got it done. The Proraso canned goo is a new experience for me. This shave was the first shave I have used any canned goo in 4 years. The Proraso Red is a great substitute for a brush and puck soap on days when there is just no time. I am happy/impressed with its performance. I don't think it is worth the $16 shipped price though. But in a pinch I can use it. Have a great day everyone!

This was my first use of Devil's cut, and my first impression is a good one. The scent is not too boozy, and starts a bit sweet with vanilla, then seems chocolaty to my nose. Loading and lathering is different from other soaps in this line. It took me a little bit longer to make the consistency I like from this soft soap. The slickness and protection was very good, and the post shave feel is excellent. I barely noticed my Futur during three passes on five, resulting in a drama free BBS. The aftershave also starts out sweet and a little smoky, but dries down to a warm sandalwood. My face feels great all around.

Soap: Through The Fire Fine Craft Devil's Cut
    Brush: HIS Lather Monster
    Razor: Merkur Futur

Good morning friends. Wonderful shave this morning with the R41 made even more special due to a lovely gifted homemade citrus scented PSO from my good friend Ben aka @ob1page. The smell is delightful and the protection is outstanding! I refrigerated it overnight so it was like shaving with a orange popsicle. It just made my rotation. :love029: Thank you Ben! Ladas are outstanding, they always get the job done in style. Mita balm finished the freeze off beautifully and all is good. Off to the post office to send my friend CJ aka @whiteboy_cannon a soap and i'll be receiving a Schick E2 injector in return. Have a wonderful shave and an equally wonderful day guys. :happy005:

    Hello TSD. My Tuesday shave:

    1904n.jpg

Very nice shave - though I think I need a few more shaves to adjust my technique. The Mongoose head is quite a bit wider than the average safety razor, I guess that's the reason why I have missed one or two hairs ;) So I'd rate this shave DFS+
