Thanks for the heads up on the snapseed, i just installed it and enhanced my pic for tomorrow. It's a killer app!
OK, I shaved with just cold tap water today. Just to see if it were all in my head...the ice water that is. I used the same soap, brush and blade I've used for a while now. Same routine ....just no ice. Very noticeable difference! I didn't get anywhere irritation but did notice a bit of feedback from the alum. With the ice water, I almost never get feedback except for a slight tingle. I'm sticking with the ice!. That is all........
Thanks for the app suggestion. I had fun messing around with my picture. Makes my crappy camera phone look somewhat decent.
I just started using cold water and like it very much. I don't get as much irritation as I did before. I soak my brush in hot water and use warm water for my soap though. Cold water just doesn't seem to work as well with those. Cold for everything else though.
I'm very happy it's working well for you, I've since moved on to ice water but even cold water was miraculous for me.

Have a wonderful shave and a wonderful day friends.

Today was my first shave with my new to me Schick E2 injector that i traded a soap and some blades for with Connor aka @whiteboy_cannon. Love it! Very maneuverable and fun to shave with like my N1 but with a shorter handle. I'm positive it will be even more fun with a twin blade. 3 passes for a BBS finish. I was worried that the handle would slip because of it's smooth appearance but that wasn't the case. The TSD iced SubZero froze my face and my Mita balm finished it off with yet more icy goodness. Have a great shave and a great weekend friends.
I am thinking about spending all of May using straight edge razors. Mostly I'll use a Schick G1 but also want to use a GEM Featherweight some. I bought a few more blades from Tryablade. Of course I'll use cold water the whole time! I need to try ice water again. When I shave in the early mornings it's very quiet in my house and getting ice from the dispenser isn't a good idea. I certainly don't want to wake our little boy or cause the dog to bark! So the ice needs to happen on the weekends to avoid those complications.
Perhaps....but still have to trek into the kitchen in the dark. And ice always falls out when you pull out the bin.
Perhaps just fill a bag/bowl the night before and store it in the freezer for easy and quiet retrieval the next morning?

Wonderful shave this morning with the N1, very smooth and zippy and fun. I love this razor so much. This particular injector looks very beautiful to me. It's very sleek and has nice simplistic lines. It's funny how something that "appears" so simple can be so thoughtfully made and effective. Stirling MITA brought the freeze this morning and the MITA balm iced the finish. Dolphin smooth. Have a great day and a great shave folks.
