Prep - Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
    Razor - Ever Ready 1912
Blade - Personna GEM SE Stainless (#8)
    Brush - Shavemac Raptor 26/52 DO1 3 Band Bulb
    Soap - TOBS Avocado
After - Frozen towel / Brut Original A/S
Result - Squeaky Rubbery Wet Dolphin Smooth

The perfect shave on the perfect day.
I've never been a big fan of the avocado scent, but on this hot sunny day, it fitted really well. This is my wife's favourite too so about time I saw what the fuss is about.
I'm surprised with this cream, quite different to the other TOBS I've tried. The post shave feel is absolutely outstanding, up there with the very best.
I'm still stropping this blade, and still shocked it's lasting like this. The difference in smoothness is very noticeable, almost like I didn't have a blade fitted.
This is a shave, and a day I will remember well.

    Wednesday 4/19/16 shave:

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Face Wash
    Brush: Fine Angel Hair synthetic
Lather: Ginger's Garden Lavender Herbal shaving soap
Razor: 1st Quarter 1971 Gillette Black Handle SS
    Blade: Dorco Prime (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (6, 7)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel pad, Ginger's Garden Lavender Herbal AS splash

I'm still dialing in the right technique and loading procedure for the Fine synthetic brush, so my lather was not up to my normal standards. Couple that with a blade that I'm not entirely sold on, and I decided 2 passes were sufficient today, though the blade will get another chance tomorrow. I'd call the results a SAS, with a little bit of irritation. Better lathering technique on my part would probably have saved the shave.

    Williams Wednesday
    Williams Ice Blue Cream
Rotbart Single Ring / Voshkod (1)
imcdn Chinese Boar brush w/ hand turned wood handle
    Gillette ASB
    Aqua Velva Original Sport

A good shave with Williams Ice Blue cream. The Rotbart is a great shaver and the Voshkod blades are always sharp and smooth. The cream has excellent slickness with great residual slickness and post shave face feel.

Man that synthetic whip a mean lather!
I haven't shaved regularly lately, due to missing time/interest caused by too many mediocre shaves.
Enough is enough, so now I have settled for a brush and soap for a solid basis, and then I can work my razors and perfect them.
One that doesn't seem to need perfecting, is the slant-bar from Merkur - it shaves like a natural extension of my hand!
Got a wonderful true BBS today after having mowed through a 5-day stubble. Amazing how the slant removes all in it's path on the first stroke. I could not have done that with a Tech!
My girlfriend likes this scent-setup, as it does not smell strong, nor perfumy. I like it as well for the same reasons. The Italian almond matches great with the bay rum splash.
Face looks and feels great. I'm eager to shave the following days with the same setup and see how I fare.

Have a nice day my fellow shavers.

    TESC Pre-Shave Oil
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Jayaruh #51 synthetic
    Gillette Blue Tip
    Voskhod
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Florida Water

The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Blue Tip razor with a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Masters Bay Rum is pretty subtle. It reminds me a bit of Superior 70 (which is great to add to other BR aftershaves). The old formula had glycerin in it, but I don't notice it being tacky.

    WEDNESDAY SHAVE
    20160420_181918.jpg

Prep: ShaveWizards citrus menthol pre/post butter
    Razor: Gillette ball end tech
    Blade: Rapira Red (3rd shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: RazoRock Al Sapone

    Aftershave: Dragon Noir
    Balm: DIY pre/post butter

2 pass with touch up shave today. Love the scent of AL Sapone, very unique and elegant scent. Excellent lather from the new lanolin formula. The RAPIRA Blade was the best on this shave, last few shaves with it I was about to write this blade off, but it worked nicely in the ball end tech. Finished with Dragon Noir, which would pair wonderfully with WSP Fougere Noir. The scent is very similar. I also splashed on some Masters Spice earlier, and I think the spice is my favorite of the 3. Even the wife liked it which is always a good thing. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Yep. I was trying out a glossy poly on that one. I have backed off to semi-gloss since then.
