Good morning guys. Wonderful shave this morning with the N1, very smooth and zippy and fun. I love this razor so much. :love029: This particular injector looks very beautiful to me. It's very sleek and has nice simplistic lines. It's funny how something that "appears" so simple can be so thoughtfully made and effective. Stirling MITA brought the freeze this morning and the MITA balm iced the finish. Dolphin smooth. Have a great day and a great shave folks. :)

The D type loaded with a twin was steller.....even at the risk of damaging it, I kept it loaded for four incredible shaves.

I tried out the F with the modified Feather this morning. I would have liked to join everyone yesterday but I had a close shave with my D Thursday afternoon and didn't have enough to work with. There is no doubt the Feather is sharp, really sharp. But I find it to be a bit harsh as well. Maybe it'll smooth out on the next shave. I ended up with a small cut or two and can't say I really enjoyed the shave. :(

    It's official, I'm a Hussy
I loaded a Chick in my H1 this morning and took it for a spin. While I got a nice shave, I found the handle awkward. I prefer a traditional handle. I'll give it a few more tries before PIFing it to my wife.

Welcome to the club you big Hussy, you. :happy102: Try it out with a Personna blade before you decide to PIF it. It won't change the handle size, of course, but I found the Personna to deliver a fantastic shave when paired with the H. :happy036:

I got a great shave with the Chick and tend to use them since buying an 84 pack. I would like to try Personna blades. Where do you get yours?

Ha! I always did take you as the defiant rebel Roger, always pushing convention to the side and having it your way!

I'm gonna have to try the twin in the D! Seems to me you did the same in the F right?
    ;)

btw - I'm spending the weekend in your province and came across this article in the Vancouver Sun today. Could this be the inspiration for your avatar?

You don't always NEED to shave, but you always WANT to shave.

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG
On a weekend road trip, so using my travel kit. Was glad to switch to the C1 for a quick reality check against the Type F I've been using.

The combo today was not as smooth as the Type F / Feather combo during the shave. But the result was just as efficient, with the slight exception of my chin, and the face feel at the end was just as smooth and facerbating worthy!

This confirms my ranking of razors so far, as I continue my year-long march thru the Schick / Eversharp alphabet.

    Cheers!

I've been thinking about opening a free ladies leg shave service for some time now. This might just be the push that puts me over the edge. :happy102:

You'll have to try a Feather in the C1. YMMV but these blades are out taking my vintage Schicks, including the Tupe C to a new level. I might even sell my Mongoose......:D

Wow Roger! I've been in the same place this week.

The shaves with the F, the month before with the D and before that with the C have me asking myself the same question about the Mongoose. I've used it for about a dozen shaves and it's a fine shave with many, many loyal and committed fans. But I just don't find it as easy to use around my face. It almost feels gargantuan in size by comparison.

Maybe I should spend more time with it...so many razors....

Two, count 'em two, British PAL Injecto Matics made to my mailbox today. One looks NOS - everything is in stellar shape - the case, the inserts and, of course, the razor. :happy036: The other was a bit gunked up and took several scrubbings in hot soap liquid, toothpaste, and Simichrome to clean up. I'll be putting them both into service before too long. Here's a few pics including one with their American cousin:
