Will it ever stop? I started DE shaving last July and ended up with a bunch of vintage razors. Then I decided I needed to see what a straight razor shave was like. Now I have a sight half seen Columbia from Whipped Dog, a Dovo 6/8 Best Quality, a few eBay finds. One of those is a Boker King Cutter that is fantastic. Once I started looking at straights, I ran across the Dovo Flowing. I knew I had to have one, but couldn't find a retailer that provides Shave Ready that had one. That changed recently when I found that Vintageblades had one. UPS says that it's going to arrive on the 24th. I will post a picture when it gets here and a SOTD after its first outing.
Straights are a major weakness of mine, right along side trying new soaps and creams. Enjoy your new razor and make sure to post pics.
Not a very good picture. I can't wait till the morning to take her for a spin. The lighting isn't very good, but that is the purple handle you PIF'd me. That is the only brush I use now.
The first shave went quite well. I was a bit rushed and being elbowed at the sink by my girlfriend. I only did two passes WTG and XTG. It was a DFS and made a very pleasing sound as it was mowing down whiskers. I will do a proper three pass shave and post in the SOTD thread in the next few days.
That is pretty. Now I want one. I will have to raid my piggy bank to see if I can come up with some cash.
WOW! Three year old thread!! Hopefully whoever you are directing the comment to has found one by now.
I could look at straights all day. They are so unique each having its own characteristics which makes them so beautiful.
