Another Extremely close shave with the modded Feather Pro loaded in the F. Two passes ATG and a dolphin skin smooth result.
Next up will be my B2 with a Feather Pro to see if these blades can improve for me an average razor (least favorite repeater).

Today before going to church I had an amazing shave. In the passaround box was a Schick type E Injector. I have never used an injector before so today I gave her a try all I can say is wow . I don't know why I waited till now to try one. I guess with my dad always using a DE razor that's what I was supposed to use .
    Razor -Type E Injector
Soap - Lime and Peppercorn Ogallala Bay rum.
    Brush - Omega boar.
    Osma alum block.
Aftershave - Ogallala Original Bay Rum Lime and Peppercorn.
Still having problems posting pictures but I had to post results of the shave. Now I have something else to hunt for to put in the shave cave. Have a great day everyone .

I agree with you, the e type is fun and zippy to shave with. I found it very maneuverable also. :)

    Shave Den Sunday

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: GEM Blue Star
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: Maple handle badger
Lather: TSD Bay Rum lanolin soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, TSD Iced Bay Rum after shave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG, XTG

    Cols water ice shave.jpg

Enjoyable, interesting, and overall fun shave with the GEM Featherweight. This is quite the razor. I enjoy it! I'm waiting on some stainless blades to come in. The Blue Star are fine but I just take it out and toss it due to the rusting factor.

    Have a great day everyone!

Today's shave my first with my new to me Rapide. [IMG]
Had a great first run with the Rapide. 3 pass dfs. I also used some new soap I picked up a Big Shave West. Rustic Shaving Soap. Lavenderwood, it made a wonderful slick, nice smelling lather.

    Thank you @spidey9

    Bunny V3 w/NOTSO comb
    Chinese Schick blade (1)
    Stirling 22mm synthetic brush
Mickey Lee Soapworks Ruby's Green soap
    Brut Classic Splash-On aftershave

Enjoyed a great first shave with a new Bunny. Also enjoyed a soap sample from Mickey Lee Soapworks - hard to pin down the scent but this tallow based soap makes great lather!

(And if you're thinking that there is a connection between this and Tom's last post, well, congratulations Sherlock! :happy088: )

    Thank you, @twhite

How did you like the soap? There is green tomato scent in there with several other earth scents. I got myself a sample of that also.

The scent is subtle, light and will go well with just about any aftershave, and the soap lathers like nobody's business and is super-slick - what's not to like?

Apparently that was a special run whipped up just for the event, as that particular scent is not listed on their website or any of the vendor websites.

Another fantastic shave using a modded Feather Pro blade. This time installed in my Schick B. I'm convinced this blade will improve any injector razor. Move over Chick blade there's a new best friend in my den.....:D

I've read some posts that the British PAL Injecto Matic is more aggressive than it's American counterpart. I've also read some posts that say there is no difference in shave quality. So, I put it to the test today. I used one of the British PAL IMs that arrived yesterday and put it up against my American one for a side by side comparison.

YMMV, of course, but I found no meaningful difference. First pass reduction was slightly better for the American but by the second and third pass there was virtually no difference. The American one was detectably smoother but I am inclined to believe that is because the blade was on its fourth use and there was a new blade in the British one. Both provided the closest shave you can get with no drama. :happy036:

I'm saving my super pristine British PAL for another day. :happy093:

Long live the Mighty PAL Injecto Matic! :smiley respect:

Thanks for the direct comparison. I've never done that, but I'm definitely in the "no difference" camp. However, my British IM has the chrome finish with the purple collar and the Schick style handle and (to me, anyway) is the winner in the looks department.

A month with my Schick Type F

I’ve ended my month with the F early because I’m convinced that I can’t get any better shaves than I experienced with it and the Feather AC for the past three shaves, except through prolonged regular use.

But my year-long goal was to get through all my injectors beginning with a march through the Schick alphabet. I’ve done the Schick C, D, Es, and F and I still have G through N to go! :scared011:

(alas, I do not own the rare ‘Type O’ which, if anyone has any leads…):smiley respect:

    Razor:1946-55 NOS G4 Schick 66 Navy
    Blade: Schick (China) (1)
Soap: Route 66 - The Black Pearl
    Brush: Stirling Kong

    AS: Stirling Island Man

    04-25-16.JPG

Two-day growth. Three-pass shave - WTG, XTG, ATG

First shave ever with this NOS Schick '66’ G4 that I found boxed at a flea market in a small town on the Oregon coast last October.

Wow, very smooth easy shave! I am convinced that with decent shaving skills and some focused work, most any of the Schick / Eversharp razors will give decent to great shaves to anyone. I’m proof that anyone should be able to do it.
    (ok, ok…YMMV)

    Cheers!

Great looking razor - and box! :git:

Last year I did a march through the complete G series along with different blade combos. The Schick was at the bottom of the rung for me. The modified feather the best. I liked the Personna and the NOS Platinum Plus as well. Looking forward to hearing about your mileage with this one.
