    Today's shave (Monday April 25)

    Bunny V3 w/NOTSO comb
    Chick (2)
    Stirling 22mm synthetic brush
Los Angeles Shaving Soap Co. Blackfern
    Alpa Fougere aftershave/cologne

I enjoyed a nice close shave from the Bunny using another sample from The Big Shave West, Blackfern from The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Co. This is a veggie soap with a nice floral fougere scent that lathers like the best tallow soaps. I got a couple of samples and now wish I'd grabbed more.

My 15yr old son has stated that he is now a injector only fan. Claims to shave in one pass vs the two required with a DE. I decided to ease him into injector shaving as my E2 razors were on the aggressive side for baby skin.
He has settled on the black handle E5 and claims to like the ease of use, smaller head and sharper blades. Go figure as he initially claimed to like longer handle razors.

Crawling out of my rabbit warren, first Bunny report: Bunny razor, warm shower prep, Chick blade, Arko puck in my Old Spice mug, Vie Long horse brush.
Even though I had many, many days of growth I started with the "Mild" comb. It was very efficient, like erasing my whiskers, perhaps too mild as I made more passes than usual and left myself with a bit of burn. As for the razor: performed great, though I found it a bit hard to see exactly where the blade was against my goatee. The handle is awesome, I was 90% though before I remembered that I was supposed to be evaluating it, I call that success. I'm feeling a bit better now, thanks to all who inquired.

Glad you are feeling better. Also happy you enjoyed your first shave. Light pressure to none, works best

:signs011:About a Year Ago an Auld Gent in the USA said to Me..There is a Danger when You experience a properly Honed Hollow Ground Blade...He said I am Giving You Fair Warning..He said that that..Before You know it you're Gem Blade Razors will be all Sold because you wont want to touch them again..;)

His Warning turned out to be a Self Fulfilling Prophecy..:happy102:

My sincerest gratitude to our librarian @Billyfergie .....It wasn't that long ago that he lit a fire under all of us concerning a much overlooked classic....The PAL Injecto-matic.....Since then the PAL I-M has gone viral as it should have....And I now feel, every serious shaver should have at least one....There is no better Injector....I love mine....Thanks BF for "Pulling Most of Our Coat-tails" on this one....Definitely a contender for that coveted Desert Island Jector Spot....

And my sincere gratitude to Hodge for having a guilt attack for having more PALs that one man deserves....and piffing me this English beauty...

    Go Hodge! :happy096:

Bird - looking forward to a comparison of the H and the PAL IM. I've been too chicken to put them head to head - I'd hate to see either lose. :happy102:

    Its probably a Type E 3 with a Black Handle..The Type E 5 doesn't have Lugs on the side of the Spring..:angelic007:

For whatever reason the Injectomatic just doesnt do it for me. I do seem to be in the minority here though..:D

A month with my Schick Type F
My year-long Focus is to do a critical assessment of all my injectors beginning with a march through the Schick alphabet. I’ve done the Schick C, D, Es, and F. I still have G through N to go! My three weeks with the F were very successful so I’m using this last week to assess the Type G.

    Hot Shower
    Razor:1946-55 NOS G4 Schick 66 Navy (Shave 2)
    Blade: Schick Plus Platinum (1)
Soap: Route 66 - Sweeney Todd
    Brush: Stirling Kong
    TSD Witch Hazel

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG
First shave with a ‘Chick’ blade in the Schick ’66’ G4 yesterday was so good that I was tempted to do a single pass today. But trying out a new blade today I chose to do two passes.

Some times when I use this blade right after a Chick I can feel a noticeable upgrade in smoothness. Today there wasn’t that that much of a difference in smoothness nor in the quality of the shave. Great shave that will probably leave me tomorrow wondering two passes or one!

Perhaps I’ll change it up again tomorrow and use the Mod FergieFeather?!

    Cheers!
    RT

btw - if you haven’t noticed I’m running through a few different Route 66 soaps this week. I may provide a brief review come the end of the week.

    (Spoiler alert: I’m enjoying them!)

Second Bunny report: warm shower prep, Bunny razor with Notso comb, Chick blade (2), Arko (as always), Whipped Dog synthetic, Pinaud Lilac Vegatal after shave. My second shave went even better than my first thanks to advice from Bunny creator @twhite to use as little pressure as possible. I also liked the Notso comb better than the Mild because I could feel were the blade was better. I don't think I will need to use the Wild comb. I did a 3 pass shave WTG, XTG, ATG and wound up with a DFS. I'm sure with more familiarity I could get a BBS shave, but I didn't want to push it to razor burn territory. All in all I'm very happy with the Bunny!
