What did we learn from our last shaves?

Never ever use an OC razor with a used blade. The other day I was shaving with my Muhle R41 with a used Astra blade. Only did one shave with it, so it was my second shave. There was a bit of tugging and pulling, but I got through it. But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was afterwards when I applied my aftershave balm, my face BURNED up like crazy. Never doing that again.

 

You'll definitely get less blade uses from the R41. I think it's the steeper angle.

 

Learned that the pal adjustable is more picky than my ER 1912. Which I also need to show some love to. Poor thing... been ignored for about 2 weeks now. It's about that time

That my Astra SP's work very nicely in my R41 and that my friend Ben @ob1page makes a damn fine PSO.

It may have just been wishful thinking but the grapefruit scent went really well with the Aqua Velva last night. I put some AV in my new glass spray bottle and in the fridge it went. Great way to finish a shave.

 

I think your PSO matches with everything, it's just a scent that is non-clashing. It's very refreshing to use such a pleasant scent in the morning.

 

That a Schick E2 injector provides a great shave and that i still had some MITA SS left in my VDH mug!!

 

That a Sputnik is actually a good blade when coupled with a pre-war Tech.

 

That a Voshkod blade isn't my favorite. Not bad, but there are others that work better for me.

 

That a second shave with a Sputnik is pretty dang, good, too. Same razor, the pre-war Tech. I may have to get some more of those.

 

To me the Sputnik was top tier sharp. Amongst its peers of GSB, Astra SP, and Rapira PL

 

Reminded that Proraso lathers quite easily, is thick, cushiony, protective, and easy to shave with.

Also that a Polsilver blade seems to be sharp and smooth.

 

That Polsilver SI's work very nicely in my New OC.

 

That the Merkur Futur works great but it gave me zero feedback. I'm torn on this razor

 

That a modified (cut down in length) Feather Artist Club Pro blade loaded in any Schick razor provides an extremely close shave. Good enough that Im considering selling my Mongoose.....

 

I've tried E, G and J. Closest feeling to a straight I've experienced. Great shavers.

 

We share blade preferences. What razor head do you like best?
