  2. Most definitely!
  3. I'm in.

I started this adventure in April or May 2014. My first razor was an Edwin Jager DE 89, Merkur blades, and maybe a Van Der Hagen brush(?) sand I used Proraso Green cream and a Walmart bowl.

  5. Got it off craigslist, if you can believe it. The fellow had a weber back when I didn't even know what a weber was!
  6. I'm in! I started in last June after seeing the Rick Harrison/Pawn Stars commercial for the starter set. I knew I could do better than that so I blindly went off to Ebay and bought myself a 1960's Gillette Tech and 100 Shark blades. After I got through my first few shaves without major incident I started lurking on shaving forums, and decided to get a puck of Arko, a Semouge 1305, and some better blades.
  7. Didn't you forget something?
    Hint: In? Not in?

  9. Im in! Very nice PIF.

I started wet shaving in dec 2015, my first razor was a Shaving Factory razor I bought at Sally's for $10, also picked up a Marvy brush (not recommended) dollar store blades, first soap was Badger Shaving Soap (couldn't get a good lather with). To make a long story short, it took a few shaves before I decided wet shaving was for me, I ordered a Col. Conk 4 pack, some Astra SP's and got a Omega s synthetic brush, and things took a 180 degree turn from where I started.
  10. I'm in!

I started about 4 weeks ago around the end on May. I started out with my grandfathers Gillette Super speed, some Wilkinson sword blades, a Van Der Hagen wet shave set and some Nivea shave balm sensitive.
  11. Sorry so late to the party! Great PIF, kudos! Good luck :)

  12. im in. my first gear was a cheap plastic tto off amazon and a van van der hagen bore brush and bowl from walmart.
  13. When into a CVS and bought the van der Hagen kit. Then went on Amazon and bought the feather popular... oh and yes...."I'm in"
  14. I'm in. I started while looking into the razor subscriptions, and comparing costs. I was actually using Bic disposables for the last year for cost reasons. I was finally looking for a better shave but not at an extraordinary cost. Somewhere I stumbled onto a wet shave site explaining cost comparisons and benefits. Well I actually already had a brush and a few soaps my brother had given to me many years ago (a Vulfix, Porasso green tube, TOBS sandalwood, and some classic shaving pucks) which I had stored away after having limited success lathering with it. So I started researching wet shaving - and the obsession commenced! Order razors sample pack on Amazon and bought a slim on eBay.

    Started Wet shaving in March.

  15. I am not in but funny when I started wet shaving in 1973 it was a chore and gear did not have names it was a razor a blade a brush and a stick of soap, definitely prefer the present state where it is a noble art :)

I started wet shaving 6 months ago with a Merkur 34c and a no name badger brush and some Omega soap. Still trying different blades but so far Astra SP's are my favorite.
  17. I'm in. I started by first throwing away the canned goo and using a Wilkinson Boar brush and either Wilkinson or Williams soap. My first razor was a Merkur 33C with a blade sampler pack. I'd been downhill er uphill ever since.

  18. I'M IN! Thanks for your generosity @Marverel! I began in Jan. of 2015 with a Van Der Hagen set from Walmart some Astra blades and also a tube of Proraso Green. :happy036:
  19. I'm in. Started with a MicroTouch and a Van Der Hagen brush back on August 1 of 2014. Then I discovered the community, and now I have more than 30 razors and 15 brushes, plus a lot of software. Good lord, this hobby is addictive. Nice PIF -- I'm in :)
