TUESDAY
Evening Shave for Tomorrow
I just finished honing this big ol' restored hunk of Sheffield steel this afternoon and so had my first shave with it this evening. One thing about these old wedges (and I do mean 'old' as this one is from the late 1830 to early 1840s)—IF the geometry is still decent (no excessive or inconsistent hone wear)—they can take a scary-sharp edge! I managed to give myself a small slice on the jaw yet didn't even feel it (the scarlet drip was a dead giveaway… ) Very smooth razor. Heavy in the hand. Not a delicate instrument, but a superb shaver. Mitchells Wool Fat provided the glide and Fine 'Snake bite' aftershave the post-shave burn & cool.

A great shave this morning with the Tech it's a razor I don't use often enough,The Dorco blade seemed smoother than the last time I used one, everything else is tried and true by Me!
So all in all a nice dolphin smooth finish! ( sorry no picture this morning)

Nice shave this morning. Smooth and neat. Day 5 with the Schick blade and it is still smooth and sharp. I have been asking around and it seems that guy are getting between 4 and 20 shaves per blade. I am aiming for 10 shaves per blade. Still amazed at how smooth and comfortable this razor is...DFS.

 

Next Level Tabacstag
This shave was so easy, smooth and comfortable- it is the best I've had in a while. I'm really getting proficient with the Futur brush, and getting the water dialed in - though Tabac is very tolerant of that. Perhaps the preshave wash is making a difference. I used the razor on 5.5 for three blissful passes, and my skin is left BBS with no drama.

This shave gave me a triple whammy freeze - the Glacial Lemon Chill soap had my eyes tearing from the strong menthol fumes, especially on the second pass and its potent frigidness became so intense that the cold water rinse nearly numbed me. The Gold Bond moisturizer has a lot of menthol in it also, and the Snake Bite aftershave clobbered me with another coating of iciness. Many thanks to my Junjie/Derby combination for getting me so BBS, and a special shout-out to my wonderful Plissoft 26mm for creating such awesome lather!

Pretty nice shave again this morning with the G1. Not quite as close as yesterday's shave but still pretty good. I would touch-up around my jaw a little more if I did it again, but that's okay. All in all a good shave in one big pass with touch-up.

The Semogue brush is a fantastic face latherer. VDH Luxury isn't my favorite soap. It's not a bad soap by any means but there are others that I have that are better. I want to use the VDH up so I can move on to something else. I'll use it a lot this month and probably into June too.

This was shave 7 on the Chick blade with no signs on weariness. I want to get to 10 shaves and then I'll swap it out.

Good morning guys. Wonderful shave this morning with the Evahs and a Polsilver blade, such a lovely combo for a smooth close trouble free shave. The Jared soap offers excellent protection while filling the room with a beautiful luxurious scent. Great start to the day. Have a good one folks.
